Beenox has been talking about what we can expect from the single player portion of the upcoming kart racer Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled when it releases next month. Perhaps this should come as no surprise, but it turns out that the recent delay of Cyberpunk 2077‘s single-player adventure may also impact the release date for Cyberpunk 2077‘s previously announced multiplayer mode. CD Projekt Red confirmed the delay of Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mode via an investor Q&A meeting in which studio vice president of business development, Michał Nowakowski, stated that the recent delay of the main game, as well as a “series of events we expect to occur after that,” ultimately means that “2021 appears unlikely as a release date for the Cyberpunk multiplayer”....

Sony unwrapped a fresh story trailer for Days Gone, the upcoming PlayStation 4 Freaker-mashing actioner developed by Bend Studio. We’re given another glimpse at protagonist Deacon St. John’s relationship with his wife, who may or may not have been a victim of the outbreak that has crippled the United States. It also seems that the former bounty hunter is having trouble fitting in with the post-apocalyptic world, although that’s hardly surprising....

Death Stranding gameplay was unveiled several hours ago at the Tokyo Game Show 2019. Anyone who has played Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding knows how pivotal the game’s soundtrack is in helping to create an atmosphere of isolation in a vast and empty dystopian world. One of the bands most heavily featured in the game is Low Roar, and it seems that Kojima’s decision to use its ambient dream pop sound was also key in keeping the band afloat. A new World First team has been crowned in Destiny 2, as a fireteam of six players beat the new Garden of Salvation raid for the first time a little over six hours after the raid released. A new cinematic recapping Destiny’s entire Light and Darkness Saga has been released ahead of the Destiny 2 showcase to get new players up to speed. The cinematic takes viewers all the way back to the beginning of the Destiny timeline with the arrival of The Traveller and the golden age of humanity. It quickly recaps the conflict between light and darkness that has been at the forefront of the Destiny games and explains the origins of the Ghosts and the first Lightbringers....

Bungie has provided more details on the upcoming Festival of the Lost event for Destiny 2, confirming the Halloween celebration will introduce a new wrinkle in the shape of the Haunted Forest. This is a time-based event where you’ll have 15 minutes to vanquish the ‘ghouls and demons, who are spooking up a storm.’ It’s playable solo or cooperatively, so if you need someone to hold your hand, then maybe call your fireteam?...

Destiny fans are hoping to find a clue to Bungie’s next project buried in Destiny 2. The hunt began when Bungie director Christopher Barrett admitted the studio had hidden an Easter egg to his team’s new project within Destiny 2. “Have you left an Easter egg in Destiny for your new IP? I would be disappointed if there wasn’t,” one fan asked via Twitter (thanks, GamesRadar). “Yes,” Barrett replied. “Maybe :)”...

Activision recently pulled the curtain back on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 1 content, but before it was unveiled, the company invited YouTubers to check it out at Infinity Ward. Infinity Ward and Activision have formally revealed the logo and title of this year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The series official Twitter account revealed the new branding for the sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare last night. The logo is somewhat reminiscent of that of 2011’s Modern Warfare 3, with a green hue to mark the numeration and the font. Of course, it also shares the name of the 2009 entry, making searches a little more confusing....

HBO’s TV adaptation of The Last of Us has been fantastic so far. It’s essentially a one-to-one adaptation of the original game, with plenty of new scenes that help to flesh out the world even further. Not everything has remained the same, though; certain scenes have been adjusted slightly from the game, including the ending of the second episode. In the game, Tess meets her untimely demise when she reveals that she’s been infected....

Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, a strategy card game, will enter open beta for PC on March 23, Jagex Games Studios has announced. The open beta will benefit from the feedback gathered from 700,000 games played during the 10-week closed beta test. “If the thoroughly successful closed beta formed Chronicle’s prologue, the arrival of its open beta phase, on 23rd March, really marks the beginning of chapter one,” said Mark Killey, senior producer, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends....

The dungeon crawler is one of the oldest, most reliable tropes in gaming. It has existed in various capacities for over 3 decades now and isn’t likely to stop any time soon. Castle Torgeath might not be the most unique or inventive game in the genre, but it’s still a fun time that’s worth a look for anyone with a hankering for some dungeon action. Castle Torgeath begins simply enough. As a nameless explorer, you get trapped in the titular castle and must find your way out....

Choo-Choo Charles, the open-world survival horror train simulation game, will be out on PC in December. You may remember the game from a year ago when it first appeared on the Steam store. Developer Two Star Games announced the release date for Choo-Choo Charles over the weekend, with an accompanying trailer. The new trailer shows off a closer look at the gameplay. Quite appropriately, it opens with screams of “Charles!” and “I don’t want to die!...

The Marvel films aren’t just good superhero films, but good films in their own right, Captain America actor Chris Evans said in a panel on Sunday. “I say, let’s keep going, let’s let the wave get bigger and bigger,” Evans said. “It’s not like they’re making bad movies, they’re making great movies and if you want to put them in this superhero box you can but they’re good movies.” He said that Marvel has “a monopoly on it, they’re doing it and no one else can try and copy it,” perhaps making a dig at the critically panned Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – the film designed as the launch pad for a new era of connected DC Comics films....

When Metroid-like games enter Early Access, they usually do so in chunks. We tend to get the first section of the game, followed by later additions. Clunky Hero, surprisingly, only kind of does this. You can technically play through the “whole” game, as it has a beginning and an end, but it’s missing a bunch of stuff in between. From the time I’ve spent with it, it’s a charming game that has some pretty annoying issues that I’d like to see ironed out during its Early Access period....
