The title ‘Capcom Fighting Collection‘ holds a hell of a lot of promise. The publisher/developer has released some of the greatest fighting games in existence. Street Fighter II was the game that basically made the genre what it is. There was an awful lot of that game included with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which released back in 1998. But barring the versus titles, there aren’t actually that many 2D Capcom fighters left to fill out a collection such as this....

This Castle Rock review contains spoilers. Castle Rock Episode 9 Castle Rock played most of its cards this week and I’m a bit disappointed with the big reveal. If you’ve been looking forward to doing battle while on the backs of dragons, I’ve got some bad news for you. Century: Age of Ashes, the multiplayer dragon battler that was set to release on November 18, has been delayed. You’ll have to wait an additional two weeks to soar through the skies while breathing fire, all because a certain giant publisher is releasing its multiplayer game right around the time of Century‘s initially planned release....

The gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Wukong has a rather eye-catching opening. It begins by following a flying cicada not long after old monkey-man begins his tale. The cicada flies over anthropomorphic beast men before stopping at one in particular. In a flash, the bug turns into a person reminiscent of Sun Wukong, straight out of the Chinese tale Journey to the West. After whipping out a staff weapon, it becomes clear what Black Myth: Wukong is all about: a souls-like adaptation of that famous story....

Last month, Den of Geek journeyed across London to attend a preview event for Close to the Sun, an upcoming story-driven horror game from the Italian developers at Storm in a Teacup and the British publishers at Wired Productions. We weren’t fully sure of what to expect, truth be told. The game takes place in an alternate history where Nikola Tesla “wasn’t fucked over by Thomas Edison.” With the necessary creative freedom and financial backing, Tesla, in the game’s universe, was able to see his off-the-wall scientific ideas to fruition....

American esports organization Cloud9 has confirmed its signing of the former ATK Counter-Strike lineup. This development follows a December report from DBLTAP that revealed Cloud9’s plans to sign the roster. The Cloud9 organization has struggled with roster instability over the last two years, their most recent team falling apart after the core transferred to Gen.G last month. The new roster came together under the ATK name in September of last year, as Joshua “oSee” Ohm and Ricky “floppy” Kemery joined from Singularity....

This Cobra Kai season 2 review contains no spoilers. It seems impossible, but it’s true. The second season of Cobra Kai — the YouTube Premium series that catches up with The Karate Kid villain Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and hero Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) decades after that fateful match at the All-Valley Karate Championship — is just as good as the first. That being said, season two, which premieres April 24th, is by no means a perfect product of the “peak TV” moment....

Bandai Namco has been forced to shutter the PC PvP servers for all Dark Souls games following “recent reports of an issue with online servers”. While console servers currently remained unaffected, it’s thought the same exploit may be possible via FromSoftware’s Elden Ring PC servers, too. “PvP servers for Dark Souls 3, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls: Remastered have been temporarily deactivated to allow the team to investigate recent reports of an issue with online services,” a brief notice on series’ official social media channels stated earlier today....

In its ninth year, Develop in Brighton takes place on 8-10 July at the city’s Hilton Metropole. More than 100 speakers will host over 90 inspirational sessions across nine tracks. While not ever player has had the same experience with Death Stranding, even some of the harshest critics have at least been able to appreciate how the game’s world looks. The vision of a post-apocalyptic America as shown in Death Stranding includes some stunning visuals for the vast landscapes the players will have to traverse in order to reach the game’s conclusion. Not every area has a proper name however, with most locations simply being relegated to “area around other area” status....

Original story follows: Bungie released Destiny 2 hotfix 2.7.1.1 to all platforms earlier today. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as though the Destiny 2 update has gone as planned, as the popular looter-shooter game has been brought down for emergency maintenance....

UPDATE: Kojima Productions has further denied the rumour, stating that it “did not tease a new game at the Taipei Game Show”. “The trailer screencap in question is from SCE and not affiliated with Kojima Productions or Metal Gear,” the developer said. ORIGINAL STORY: Is a sequel to Metal Gear Rising in development? Kojima Productions suggests not but, if that’s the case, why did an apparent teaser for the game appear in a Sony-created trailer this weekend?...

Today Splash Damage unleashed the latest update for Dirty Bomb which brings with it a new 64-Bit client which we mentioned was coming last month. The new client allows Splash Damage to increase the memory limit to prevent crashes and also allow them to increase the size of content they can add. Multi-core PCs will also benefit from the update and should see improved performance. The new client also has an increased cache size which should improve general performance....

Last week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.12 added new maps, a new game mode, and more to Infinity Ward’s highly-popular first-person shooter. This update was released under the umbrella of the ongoing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One, and now Activision has revealed even more new content that can fans can enjoy during this first season, detailing a temporary Gunfight game mode that will be available very soon....
