Destiny 2 will be welcoming the return of PvP mode Iron Banner on April 17 as part of next week’s reset, developer Bungie has announced. This isn’t just any old Iron Banner though; the latest incarnation of the hard-as-nails Crucible mode introduces 6v6 battles for the first time. Destiny 2 had originally adopted a 4v4 match-up, although Bungie discovered that this wasn’t really everyone’s cup of tea. Iron Banner was originally set to roll out this week but was pushed back due to a last-minute bug rearing its head....

Destiny’s House of Wolves expansion pack won’t include a new Raid, Bungie has confirmed. Instead, the DLC will introduce a new area, The Reef, and a new “end game activity”: a three-player co-operative multiplayer arena called The Prison of Elders. “We didn’t make this decision lightly,” Bungie explained on its website. “Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year....

DICE has announced that it will launch the VIP Map Pack 2 free of charge on March 30 (the same day at the first Modern Warfare DLC), noting players will be able to “avoid ‘mapathy’ without getting nickel-and-dimed”. Mapathy is the term coined by Infinity Ward to promote the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC. VIP Map Pack 2 features: Arica Harbor Conquest mode – US Command launches a break through action directly at the Russian base....

Capcom plans to release more HD remasters of “popular older games” by the end of March 2016. The publisher touched upon its re-release plans during a presentation of its latest financial results, where it revealed that it planned to “utilize existing intellectual property, such as by selling HD remastered versions of popular older games” during its current fiscal year. Capcom released two current-gen remasters – DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition and Resident Evil HD Remaster – during its previous financial year, and has already announced a PS4, Xbox One and PC remaster of Devil May Cry 4 for release this summer....

We all dream of true immersion in Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or the tabletop RPG of our choice. Netflix is hosting another episode of its Geeked Week livestreams, and this time around they revealed Castlevania: Nocturne. The new animated series following the super-popular Castlevania show will focus on Richter Belmont, a descendant of Trevor and Sypha and sacred whip-wielding protagonist of the 1993 game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. It’s in production at Powerhouse Animation, which worked on the original Castlevania series, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, and even plenty of games including the upcoming Sonic Origins for Sega, The Banner Saga, A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV, and more....

The Call of Duty: Vanguard PC beta kicked off last weekend. This allowed fans to get hands on experience with the new title before release. Across four multiplayer maps, players have been able to try out weapons from every class at a chosen combat pacing. Not long after the beta launched, many players were quick to find that hackers had arrived. Ever since, they have been running rampant in the Vanguard beta, leaving players concerned for the state of the game’s anti-cheat at launch....

Watch Dogs 2 is being revealed live at 5pm tonight (provided nothing else leaks ahead of time, of course), and you can watch it right here in the video above. The world premiere promises to “explore the future of Watch Dogs”, offering the first official look at the game’s new lead character, tone and San Francisco setting. We don’t yet know what to expect or whether there’ll be any gameplay to go along with the leaked CGI trailer from this morning, but you can probably expect it to be similar to the dev diary-style reveal of last year’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate....

Crash Bandicoot: On The Run is on its way to mobile devices, from the developer of Candy Crush. “In Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, Dr. Neo Cortex has dispatched iconic villains across the multiverse to take control of all dimensions. With the help of his sister Coco, Crash must bash Cortex’s minions back to their own dimensions!” read the description of the new game. Players will visit various stages inspired by the series to prevent Cortex from achieving his evil goals....

Blackbird Interactive’s real-time strategy game, Crossfire: Legion, will enter Steam’s Early Access on May 24. Prime Matter is publishing Crossfire: Legion, and some of its previous works include Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Iron Harvest, and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Crossfire: Legion is also being created in collaboration with Smilegate, the owner of the Crossfire franchise. Crossfire: Legion will task players with taking control of one of three factions: the Black List, Global Risk, and New Horizon....

A range of official, custom PS4 faceplates will go on sale across Europe on November 18, Sony has announced. Four colours will be available at launch, including Neon Orange, Aqua Blue, Red and and Glacier White, with Gold and Silver due to arrive “at a later date”. The faceplates can be switched out with the PS4’s current HDD cover to add a bit of colour to your console, although a price for them has yet to be announced....

Google Stadia launched less than a month ago, but it just received one of its more higher profile releases in Darksiders Genesis. Darksiders Genesis isn’t coming to consoles until February 14, 2020, giving Stadia owners the chance to try the game early. However, Darksiders Genesis is also available early on PC, and despite the two versions of the game being the same, there is a big difference between them, and that’s the price....

In a letter to its community, developer Behaviour Digital announced that development would cease on its newest game, Deathgarden: BLOODHARVEST. The game’s servers will be up for the remainder of the year so that fans can make a few more memories. Alongside the announcement, Behaviour Digital has also made the game free on Steam to boost matchmaking viability until closure. In addition, the developers will host one final livestream for the game on December 12 where fans can come play and chat....
