Today Paradox Interactive announced a rather flattering sales milestone for its popular grand strategy game (with plenty of RPG elements) Crusader Kings 3. The announcement made via press release reveals that the game has already sold over 2 million units, and it’s the fastest Paradox title ever to reach that number. On top of that, we learn that the recently-released DLC Royal Court has already passed 1 million units sold....

CD Projekt Red’s own Paweł Sasko has stated fan criticism about Cyberpunk 2077’s relatively linear story is “completely justified”. While there are several options for players to choose from throughout the game that in turn curate different experiences for different players (for example, starting off on either the Nomad, Street Kid, or Corpo lifepaths or its five different endings), many felt Cyberpunk 2077 should have given more - especially given how much was promised ahead of the game’s release....

Dark Souls excels as a game in many areas, but most will agree that the game is at its best during the boss fights. There’s nothing else quite like a Dark Souls boss. They’re intimidating, challenging, and usually well designed. Usually. FromSoft has an eye for talent and consistently produce high-quality games, but Dark Souls isn’t exempt from a bad boss or five. Dark Souls 3 will release in early 2016 following its reveal at E3 next week, according to a new report. IGN claims to have received “official” artwork featuring the game’s name and release window, which it says will be formally revealed by Bandai Namco next week. “The unreleased, official art… displays an armored hero covered tattered cloth and flames, as well as the suggested launch frame of “Early 2016′, the site says....

The Dark Souls Trilogy is officially coming to Europe, but Bandai Namco Games has something extra special in store for those of you who are totally minted. Say hello to the Dark Souls Trilogy Collector’s Edition, which costs a whopping £449.99 and comes out two months after the standard version of the trilogy. Available exclusively on Bamco’s European store, the Collector’s Edition includes Dark Souls 1-3 as you’d expect, all of the DLC release to date, but the real highlight is the 34cm, hand-painted Elite Knight at the Bonfire statue....

When I originally covered the announcement for Dead or Alive 6 on our sister-site Daily Esports, one of the first things I noticed was the community’s reaction to the removal of breast physics. Indeed, when game director Yohei Shimbori mentioned that Dead or Alive 6 would be more realistic and less sexualized, it received a generally positive reaction from fans. Joel Schumacher, the colorful director of 23 feature films including Flatliners, Falling Down and perhaps the two most polarizing entries in the Batman franchise, has died at the age of 80 after a year-long battle with cancer, according to Deadline. Other films on his resume included one of the defining movies of the “Brat Pack” era, St. Elmo’s Fire, along with the John Grisham adaptations A Time to Kill and The Client, the highly influential horror film The Lost Boys and the screen version of the long-running Broadway musical The Phantom of the Opera....

A number of leaks, including some from inside the game itself, have more or less confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode is well on the way. The mode, leaked to be titled Warzone, is reportedly set to include a massive 200 player count, and as such, its map will apparently be similarly massive to house all these players in one match. Call of Duty: Warzone will be getting a new Pacific map to bring the game in line with the WW2-set Call of Duty: Vanguard later this year. As detailed on the Call of Duty blog, the new map is said to be “roughly the size” of previous map Verdansk. However, it’ll be a lot more open and exotic than the crumbling cities of old. We’re promised picturesque mountains, lush verdant greenery and plenty of rocky crags to explore....

Call of Duty has just launched its fifth season of content across Warzone and Vanguard bringing a bunch of new content and cosmetic changes for players to discover. However, following the game’s rocky launch it seems that CD Projekt Red is shaking up Cyberpunk 2077‘s development team. According to a report from gamesindustry.biz, the developer is promoting Gabriel Amatangelo to be the new game director for Cyberpunk 2077....

Z2 Comics and the estate of jazz legend Charlie “Bird” Parker announced the first-ever graphic novel on a legend of the genre. Chasin’ the Bird: Charlie Parker in California will be published in September, in time to honor the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late great father of bebop. “I believe that a hundred years from now, when people look back at the 20th century, they will view Bird, Miles and Dizzy as our Mozart, Bach, Chopin and Tchaikovsky,” Quincy Jones once said, according to the Z2 press statement....

The Outsiders and Funcon have released a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video showcasing how the rhythm FPS came to be. Exploring the “origins of the game, including exclusive interviews with the game’s creators, music composers, and some of its amazing voice talent”, the BTS documentary also includes conversations with the soundtrack creators, Elvira Björkman and Nicklas Hjertberg of Two Feathers.
