Burnout creators Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry have lifted the lid on Dangerous Golf, their first game since leaving Criterion and forming independent studio Three Fields Entertainment. Due for release digitally on PS4, Xbox One and PC this May, Dangerous Golf switches serious golfing for explosive, destructive fun, tasking players with pulling off trick shots while causing as much damage as possible. Dead by Daylight, the asymmetrical online competitive multiplayer horror game, is receiving a massive update today. The Reckoning, Dead by Daylight’s Tome 2, will be launching soon, if it’s not already available. Like with Tome 1, Reckoning will bring with it a new Rift battle pass full of content to unlock. Content includes new challenges to complete, as well as skins and charms to unlock via a new Rift. Death Stranding is a controversial game, but undeniably a good one. Perhaps not on par with Hideo Kojima at his best (but what auteur could ever top a work as good as Metal Gear Solid 2: Son of Liberty,) Death Stranding still thrives off its fresh concept and incredibly well realized gameplay loop. It’s slow, but deliberately so. Death Stranding is a game that demands the audience’s patience. That won’t be for everyone, but there’s wrong with this approach to game design– if anything, it’s all the more welcome in a generation churning out AAA, flavor of the month shovelware like a printing press....

Microsoft has dated September’s second batch of Game Pass titles for Xbox and PC, including many which were confirmed last week during the Xbox Indie Showcase. Denis Dyack, the man behind Eternal Darkness and Too Human, has returned, and he isn’t empty handed. Yesterday, he announced that he and his team at Apocalypse Studios are coming out with a new game called Deadhaus Sonata, a free-to-play action RPG. Also, it seems a tad spooky, which fits well within Dyack’s wheelhouse. However, unlike in Eternal Darkness, you won’t have to tackle the scares alone. The game will be fully online and cooperative....
