Izanagi Games has announced an “authentic full motion video game” titled Death Come True, developed by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka (via Siliconera). It all sounds very like Kodaka’s magnum opus Danganronpa, down to the characters with eclectic styles and the determinant decisions that will likely lead to a sticky end. Kodaka will write and direct, with Death March Club’s Shinsuke Umeda producing the game, and Shunsuke Kamata acting as its creative director....

Drawn to Death creator The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency has announced that it’s closing its doors. Co-founder David Jaffe confirmed the news in a post on Twitter following a number of major layoffs at the studio. Interestingly, a separate post by Jaffe revealed that the team was busy prototyping an Iron Man game for PSVR, although at the time the project wasn’t even pitched to Marvel Studios. As a result of the developer’s closure, Jaffe confirmed he’s giving away a number of video game props for free — including a rather lovely looking God of War statue — to anyone in the Southern California region who is interested....
Undead open-world survival hit DayZ will finally be lurching onto Microsoft’s Xbox Game Preview in 2018, its developer announced on Twitter. The team also confirmed that a PS4 version of the game is in the pipeline, although doesn’t know when it’ll see the light of day. The plan is to launch the game on Xbox Game Preview once the PC edition, which has been in early access since 2013, reaches its beta phase....

Short Version: Deadliest Warrior: The Game is one of the most gruesome and thoroughly enjoyable games on the Xbox Live Market Place, but the game is overly simplistic and doesn’t stir up enough variation to keep me playing it into next week. After a hands-on with Deadliest Warrior: The Game at E3, I was genuinely excited for the title. I was – and still am – a huge fan of the show, and a game based on the premise of famous warriors throughout history killing each other to see who the strongest sounded like a lot of fun – I wasn’t wrong....

Ahead of the official Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launch, developer Bungie has announced that pinnacle weapons will be a thing of the past. The developer has renamed them ‘ritual weapons’ and changed how these weapons function slightly. This time around, these weapons will receive curated rolls instead of special Destiny 2 perks. The dev team did issue an explanation as to why it decided to make these changes. The first was that the “band in which ‘pinnacle’ perk can exist is actually quite small” and many of them exceeded the team’s expectations in terms of their role in Destiny 2....
A Reddit user recently uncovered a bug that can halt the progress for ritual weapon quests in Destiny 2. These quests take a long time to complete as it is, but with this bug, the road to weapons like the new Python shotgun is longer than it should be. Python is the new Ritual weapon for the Destiny 2 Gambit mode. Like many of the weapon quests in the game, the road to Python takes a lot of work and emphasis on using shotguns, but the bug makes players stop progressing in the questline altogether....
Destiny 2‘s annual winter event is back to bring some holiday cheer. The Dawning, in Destiny 2‘s aptly named Season of Dawn, will have you baking goodies to give to various NPCs just like last year. There are even some new recipes for various characters (including Eris Morn, Saint-14, and Riven from the Last Wish raid). You can also earn and upgrade the Alpine Dash sparrow.
