A new trailer for Disco Elysium, a stylised and tongue-in-cheek CRPG from Studio Zaum, has dropped, and reveals its release date along with the kooky features players will look forward to in the game. Disco Elysium is the story of a detective solving cases in a sumptuous yet deteriorating urban fantasy city called Revachol. The detective possesses a quirky arsenal of skills — 24 of them in fact — and they will speak to the character to guide, confuse, and observe them....

Call of Duty: WWII’s free Shipment 1944 map is now available for the acclaimed PS4, PC, and Xbox One first-person shooter. As you might have twigged, the map takes place in a shipping yard and is very much focused on close-quarters battles, with stacked crates offering makeshift narrow corridors ideal for choke points. The map comes as part of the St. Patrick’s Day-themed event, Shamrock & Awe, which is live until April 3....

Dr. Mario World is adding more playable doctors from the Super Mario Bros. series, as Dr. Fire Mario and Dr. Fire Peach are coming to the game tomorrow. Dr. Mario World is a puzzle game for mobile phones that adapts the Dr. Mario formula for touchscreens, with the addition of currencies and gacha elements to keep things sleazy. The game brought in the least amount of money in its first month than all of Nintendo’s other mobile endeavors and it has been supplanted by the far more successful Mario Kart Tour, but Nintendo is still providing new content for those who are interested in killing those viruses....

Deep Silver and its Fishlabs studio have dropped a new update for their 2021 space shooter Chorus. As per the game’s official blog, the free 1.6 update adds some new features for new-gen consoles and PC. Front and centre of these is the option of ray tracing support, adding realistic reflections to surfaces on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Enabling the option will set the gameplay to 30FPS at a 4k dynamic resolution....

Chucklefish has responded to the multiple allegations that it exploited the volunteer developers working on indie interstellar adventure game Starbound. Earlier this week, developer Damon Reece claimed that they had worked ‘hundreds of hours’ unpaid on Starbound as one of its writers. ‘The company made unbelievable amounts of money off of my labour, and that of around a dozen other unpaid workers,’ Reece stated. ‘A couple of them ended up working at the company....

Code Vein arrived in September, offering players a brand new hardcore-JRPG experience with the type of brutal difficulty and boss roster that fans of similar games are used to. While there is plenty to do throughout the extensive storyline, as well as a host of other obstacles for players to overcome once the game has been finished, there hasn’t been much to keep fansengaged for a while. For decades, Nintendo games have been a source of entertainment for college students. Now, Nintendo is coming to campuses itself with Switch consoles and games for college students to enjoy. According to Level Up, Nintendo will be bringing its hybrid console to several colleges throughout the United States for students to enjoy with friends and peers while playing the latest games from Nintendo. Games to be featured at the college events include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, Super Smash Bros....

If you’ve been holding out for a Steam release of Crytek’s Crysis Remastered Trilogy, there’s some good news; the three-game spruce up is coming to Valve’s storefront on 17th November. The Crysis Remastered Trilogy, if this all seems a little like déjà vu, first released for PlayStation, Switch, and PC last October, but the PC version was limited to the Epic Games Store - despite the remaster of the original Crysis already having been launched on Steam....

Warface, the free-to-play online first-person shooter from Crytek, launched on Switch with little to no fanfare (via Eurogamer). It was originally released for PC in 2013, then re-released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018. Players take on the role of Sniper, Rifleman, Engineer, Medic, or SED, and these classes are equipped with individual loadouts and abilities. There are PvP and PvE modes which earn the player experience points, Warface Dollars, and Vendor Points....

It appears a lot of gamers are suckers for incredibly beautiful, but incredibly controller-smashingly difficult run and gun games. Studio MDHR, the outfit behind the gloriously stylish Cuphead, have announced their homage to 1930s-era Disney animation has surpassed 3 million copies sold. The game was released on PC and Xbox One in September 2017. An impressive feat, especially when considering the game passed 1 million sales only a month after it launched....

CD Projekt Red recently announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would be delayed from April to September 17, 2020. Given Cyberpunk 2077’s new release date is just a couple months shy of the release of the next-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X, the timing may appear strange to both gamers and industry observers alike. It might make more sense for CD Projekt Red to just wait slightly longer to release Cyberpunk 2077 during the holiday season, so that fans have the option of playing the game in the best way possible on next-gen consoles....

Jason Trost, the director and writer of the 2011 film The FP has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund the next two films in his “Beats of Rage Thrillogy,” FP3: Remix Revelation and FP4: EVZ. The campaign was launched on August 30 on Indiegogo and has already amassed more than 90% of its $20,000 goal so far. The plot of the first film and its 2018 sequel FP2: Beats of Rage center around a game called Beat-Beat Revelation, an obvious parody of the Dance Dance Revolution franchise, and how it is used as a tool of leverage between feuding parties and individuals in a dystopian society....

A new trailer has just been released for this updated and improved version of Death Stranding, and it shows off a number of the new features that are exclusive to the director’s cut of the game. The Death Stranding Director’s Cut is coming to PC on Mar. 30, so this video will help fill PC players in on what they can expect to see. PC owners of the original version of the game can get the Director’s Cut at a discounted price as well....

Split/Second was one of the more innovative racing games release this past year. We even gave it a 4.5/5 in our Split/Second review. Instead of firing rockets, banana peels, or blue turtle shells at your opponents, you trigger explosions and launch the whole environment at your competition. So in great news for fans of the game, Split/Second will be receiving some DLC later this month. Black Rock Studio, developers of the game, had some stiff opposition with both Blur and Mod Nation Racers, turning this past spring into a three way battle for arcade racing supremacy....

Demon Slayer Season 3 is fast approaching its release date, and Ufotable has given fans a reason to be even more excited for the first episode’s release. During a special event held on Dec. 10, a new promotional video for the series revealed that the hour-long first episode of the third season would be aired in theatres alongside the last two episodes of the second season in a world tour leading up to season 3’s release....

Destiny 2 gave new details about the new dungeon coming in the Shadowkeep expansion this fall, which will send players deep into the returning Moon destination. This is the first time that developer Bungie has highlighted a dungeon prior to its release, with those activities in the past being left to be one of the biggest surprises of each season. But as previously revealed on the roadmap for the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep expansion and accompanying Season of the Undying, the dungeon (the name of which has yet to be revealed) will release on October 29....
