Destiny players have raised over $1 million for Direct Relief to help the disaster recovery in Nepal, Bungie has announced. “If you’re discovering the initiative just now, we’ve been selling gear (wrought from both pixels and breathable cotton) through the Bungie Store to raise money for disaster recovery in Nepal,” explains the Bungie Weekly Update. “As the final dust settles, there is so much left to be done to help victims of the earthquake that occurred back in April....

A new multiplayer Destroy All Humans! standalone DLC has appeared on the Xbox Store with the subtitle Clone Carnage. The listing was spotted by members of the Resetera forum last night, much to fans’ surprise. The game appears to be a co-op expansion related to 2020 remake Destroy All Humans! though no such DLC has yet been announced by publisher THQ Nordic. The description on the listing tells us it’s a standalone DLC with four modes, six maps and up to 4-player multiplayer....

Lucid Games’ OTT destruction-derby arena Destruction AllStars launches on PlayStation 5 today, and naturally there’s a launch trailer to celebrate. The game—which is available for no extra cost to PlayStation Plus subscribers—offers up four game modes: Mayhem (deathmatch), Carnado, Stockpile and Gridfall both as a solo driver and in team-based competition. You’ll pick one of sixteen drivers each with their own abilities and can get behind the wheel of one of three vehicle types; or even if you’re feeling brave poot about the arenas on foot....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare just wrapped up the last of its open betas today, having given fans a pretty thorough glimpse at next month’s reboot. Plenty was offered in the way of new Modern Warfare maps and multiplayer modes. Unfortunately, though, it seems there was also plenty of technical issues too, namely with the game’s spawn system. This is a complaint that has shown up a lot in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare during the latest beta....

It appears that Blizzard is expanding two of its biggest franchises beyond gaming. With recent details that have made their way online, both Diablo and Overwatch look to be getting animated projects. The Diablo series has been rumored for some time over at Netflix, starting to swirl around September 2018. However, a recent update to the LinkedIn profile of Nick van Dyk, president of Activision / Blizzard Studios, suggests something is happening....

Evolution Studios may have known that yesterday’s DriveClub DLC would be its last, with the names of multiple events appearing to drop hints at the studio’s closure. The DLC, itself called ‘Finish Line’, rolled out onto PlayStation Store yesterday, the same day Sony announced that it would be closing the studio. But beyond its name, the DLC also features a pair of events seemingly recognising the closure, including one named ‘Clocking Off’ and another titled ‘The Long Goodbye’....

Reddit user naz_nasty suggested this idea. The hope that most of the responders to the post have is that Infinity Ward will do something along these lines to patch up the spawn system for Shipment. However, most don’t believe that Infinity Ward will, as many members of the Modern Warfare community has had issues with the way the developers have handled the game in the time following its release. Since Shipment is a fan-favorite map, Infinity Ward might try something to balance it out in the future, but whether it will, and how exactly it will go about doing so if it does, remains to be seen....

Announced in the trailer is an event dubbed Operation Monarch, and the trailer confirms Godzilla and King Kong will both be coming to the Battle Royale on May 11. You can watch the gigantic trailer here and below: It is worth noting that these are the same Godzilla and King Kong found in the recent films featuring both and the trailer specifically marks this is a Godzilla vs. Kong collaboration....

After the leaks, rumours, and then confirmed rumours, it’s now been officially announced that the next Call of Duty will be Call of Duty: WWII. The confirmation came via the official CoD twitter account, which tweeted ‘WWII confirmed’ along with the image above. The full reveal for the game is due on April 26 at 10 am PDT, which is 6 pm in normal time BST. Synchronise watches, gentlemen. Right now the official CoD website is showing a countdown timer, which makes it easier to do so....

Activision Blizzard has revealed that the number of Call of Duty players is falling despite increasing its developer pool by 25% As per IGN, the numbers were revealed in the company’s latest earnings results. The number of the company’s active users was standing at 372 million at the end of March 2022. However, that’s now dropped to 361 million as of the end of June. That’s a loss of 11 million users across its games like Overwatch and the Call of Duty series....

A few weeks ago, there was a rumor that esteemed actor Cate Blanchett would join the Borderlands movie. She wouldn’t appear in just any capacity, mind you. Rumor had it she would play one of the main characters, a Vault Hunter from the original game: Lilith. Now, Lionsgate has dropped the news that those rumors were indeed true. A new behind the scenes video at Supermassive Games’ Guildford HQ has been released by Sony as part of a week-long focus on PlayStation VR title Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. The video features key members of the dev team chatting about how Rush of Blood aims to scare all those brave enough to put on the headset. It’s easy to see that LawBreakers from Boss Key Productions is one of this generation’s biggest failures. That’s not easy for its former studio head, Cliff Bleszinski (CliffyB), to hear. Despite his efforts to jump into the competitive game market, LawBreakers just came up short. As a result, the servers shut down just a year later, alongside the studio. Ratings for Cooking Mama: Cookstar in Australia and Germany were spied last week, so it’s likely that this title will be the European release of the same game. Developer Crema has just hit its Temtem player base with its first, and by no means final, batch of bans. According to the game’s Twitter account, almost 900 players received a permanent ban from the game. Initially, Crema took a hardline approach that didn’t allow for any form of appeal to the bans. In a post on Twitter, Cream said, “Bans are final(;) we won’t answer or review any ban appeal....
