Everyone’s favourite game that was shown off a few years back, Cuphead, has a release date. Xbox One and Windows 10 title Cuphead is out September 29. Fingers crossed, this time.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a standalone anime series inspired by the world of Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s coming in 2022. Studio Trigger, which has produced series like Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, and BNA: Brand New Animal, is developing the ten-episode animated series. The story will follow a child who lives on the streets, trying to eke out a living in a self-obsessed city. “Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk,” read the description from CD Projekt Red....

During one of the smiley Nintendo Treehouse livestreams at E3 (via VG247), it was confirmed that the action-packed mech game Daemon x Machina will be getting a competitive multiplayer mode after the game launches on September 13. Kenichiro Tsukuda of developer Marvelous said that the team is still working on it at the minute, but didn’t give any forecasted date for the update or anything like that. Daemon x Machina will include a co-op mode from the get-go; Tsukuda, via a translator, said this was because the studio wanted to make sure there was something in the game for those that aren’t keen on fighting against each other....

Dauntless’ latest and biggest patch is live, and with it, the game has officially left early access and gone into its full release. The massive Aether Unbound patch features lots of new content for the online co-op RPG that now boasts over 15 million players. Developer Phoenix Labs, a studio comprised of industry veterans from BioWare, Riot Games, Blizzard, and more, has been continually evolving and adding to Dauntless over 5+ years of development....

Beating the main storyline of Days Gone is a great feeling, but can leave players wanting more. Fortunately the character is left in the world with all of his stuff to do more, but it’s unclear what he should be doing once the credits have finished rolling. Dead Island 2’s game director Bernd Diemer has been hired by Killzone developer Guerrilla Games. Diemer announced his appointment on Twitter, stating “Robosaurs! @Guerrilla! And me! I’m very excited.” The developer has yet to announce what position he’ll be taking on, but given his reference to robosaurs, expect him to play a significant role in next year’s Horizon: Zero Dawn. According to his LinkedIn profile, Diemer worked at Dead Island 2 developer Yager for almost 4 years, having joined the company in January 2012....

A new update from Kojima Productions has just gone live in Death Stranding, one that adds a very particular option to the game’s settings with the intention of eliminating an annoyance for players. Now under settings players will see an option called “BT Encounter Warning,” and disabling it will stop a warning animation from showing on-screen every time players get close to a BT-infested area. Kojima Productions announced the change over social media, posting a screenshot of Death Stranding’s settings menu to show where exactly players can find the new option....

Today publisher Wired Productions and developer KeokeN Interactive announced the release date of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version of Deliver Us The Moon. It’ll launch on May 19, 2022, and existing owners of the old-gen versions will receive the upgrade at no additional cost. A physical edition of the game will also be available for PS5 only for £19.99, $24.99, or €24.99. depending on where you live. You can check the trailer out below....

Another week and Destiny 2 has more content in store for players with its Black Armory DLC. This time around, it’s the Izanami Forge where you’ll be fighting against Vex. There’s a rather lengthy questline to unlock this location and, much like the other forges, you’ll need to unlock them per character if you want all your alts to make their way there. A brand-new in-game trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been released by Squre Enix and Eidos Montreal. Although largely made up of cinematic elements from the game, the new trailer does feature segments of gameplay. The Devil May Cry series has seen a resurgence in popularity in the last year, thanks to the success and critical acclaim of 2019’s Devil May Cry 5. This popularity has compelled Capcom to begin rereleasing the series’ original PlayStation 2-era titles on the Nintendo Switch. Now that the first two have been out on the console for a few months, it’s time for the one most fans have been waiting for, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, to get its turn....

Luis Barriga, director of Diablo IV, Jesse McCree, lead designer, and Jonathan LeCraft, designer for World of Warcraft, are no longer employed at Activision Blizzard. The three men were let go from the company on Wednesday, according to a report by Kotaku. Blizzard later confirmed their ousting, saying the company was moving “forward to ensure a safe, productive work environment for all.” Their departure comes amidst a harassment and discrimination lawsuit against Activision Blizzard....

It looks like a Diablo animated series on Netflix really is happening. The show’s writer put out a tweet confirming that it’s a thing, then quickly deleted it.
