Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator is a surprisingly complex restaurant sim that’s set to debut in a couple of months — and we got a chance for a preview. After playing a preview build, I’m frankly impressed by how much the game offers. Regardless, if you’re looking to cook, manage a restaurant, or customize your kitchen and interior, there’s a lot to look forward to in this one....

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, showrunner on Netflix’s upcoming The Witcher TV series, has confirmed that Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra have been cast in the roles of Circi and Yennefer, respectively. Both characters play important roles in the story, and join the previously confirmed Henry Cavill in the show. Ciri acts as the Princess of Cintra, while Yennefer is the main love interest for Geralt of Rivia and something of a mother figure to Circi....

Sim 155 have been busy working on the tasty looking Combat Air Patrol 2 and this a new patch has been released. This latest update adds new features and addresses a stack of bugs. Improvements made in the v812.1 patch includes animated cockpit controls, full control over the interior and exterior lighting, four HUD modes and more. There are also VR updates such as optimisations, gamma control, and updates to the latest API versions....

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert hold a special place in strategy gamers’ hearts. They hold a special place in the developers’ hearts, too, since former Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph Games are hard at work on remastered versions of both games. A Redditor, u/mohmahkat, noticed an image on Petroglyph’s website and posted it to Reddit so that gamers could revel in its 4K glory....

Mikael Kasurinnen, creative director on Remedy’s Control, has confirmed during a Q&A session with Game Informer that DLC is on the cards for the game, although certain features, such as a New Game Plus option, will not be included. One thing people are probably going to be pleased about is that microtransactions are not planned for Control. Oddly enough, difficulty settings won’t be featured either, and a Photo Mode isn’t in the pipeline for day one....

FoxNet Games has announced Crisis on the Planet of the Apes VR, a brand new first-person adventure set between the events of Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes for PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive platforms. Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed once again, developer CD Projekt RED confirmed this morning. It will miss its September 17 release by two months, and will now come out mid November. The reason for its latest delay is quite simple: it’s not ready yet, according to the Tweet posted by the company. Cyberpunk 2077 is now scheduled to ship on November 19. Back in March, there were concerns over COVID-19 and how it was affecting game development....

Cyberpunk 2077’s launch woes look far from over, as following the game’s removal from the PlayStation store over the weekend, Xbox has now added an Xbox One performance warning to the listing for the game on the Microsoft Store and is expanding its refund policy for the game. A tweet thread from the Xbox Support Twitter acount reads: “To ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to anyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store, until further notice....

Sony’s latest exclusive, Days Gone, cost the company $7.9 million for television advertising during the month of April alone, according to information obtained through a collaboration between Gamesbeat and iSpot.tv (h/t resetera). Data presented by the source shows that the PlayStation brand accounted for over a quarter of TV spending in the United States in April. Video game companies spent approximately $29.4 million in advertising last month, a step down from March’s $36....

Deep Silver has chosen not to comment on rumours suggesting that Mighty No.9 may have been delayed, after it was discovered that various US retailers had updated the game’s product page with a placeholder 2016 date. The previous September date was announced back in April alongside a partnership with Deep Silver. Before this, the game had been expected to launch in April. Retail editions will be available for Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PC, Linux and Mac....

Savathûn’s Throne World is an indulgent, decadent place. Its neat privet hedges bookend meandering walkways that don’t seem in a rush to get anywhere, and much of the ground - bleached, polished stone - is obscured by a thick carpet of russet leaves and blood-red petals. It’s beautiful here - a touch cold, maybe, but beautiful nonetheless - until your eyes drift up, and you notice that its gothic facades are topped with long, thin, deadly spikes, as friendly as the barbs our city councillors install on rooftops and in shop doorways to keep birds and homeless people at bay....

It’s no secret that the next season of Destiny 2 may bring with it a clear focus on PvP, something previously undone with the introduction of Shadowkeep and seasonal content. While the last few Destiny 2 seasons have each introduced a solid amount of new PvE activities and story content, the impending season may not focus on any element of PvE content at all. Recently data-miners found in a Destiny 2 update that the game’s season 10, entitled Season of the Worthy, will be bringing back the competitive PvP mode Trials of Osiris....

While the new Season of Dawn has experienced a smooth launch so far this week, Bungie has made sure that all Destiny 2 players know that season 9 isn’t flawless. The developer tipped fans off earlier this week with news of existing issues and bugs which could crop up during the new season such as the UI issue that indicates players need 28 triumphs to unlock the Savior seal instead of the actual 15....

On May 8th, Destiny 2 players will be able to get their hands on the second expansion for the game, titled Warmind. Not much information has been released about Warmind other than Bungie stating, “…It will send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies. You’ll earn new loot and master new activities.” While Bungie is keeping the details of Warmind under wraps for now, players won’t have to wait until release day to get more information on the second expansion....
