Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t really take cyberpsychosis seriously, but a new mod changes that. Modder DJ_Kovrik has created the Wannabe Edgerunner mod that adds in the Humanity stat. Essentially, every piece of cyberware has a Humanity Cost that gradually drives your character towards cyberpsychosis. Cyberware gives a permanent decrease to Humanity, while using abilities and killing enemies decreases it further, albeit temporarily....

CD Projekt Red has released another bounty of information and videos on its upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 by way of the latest episode of its Night City Wire broadcasts, this time focusing on the game’s fashion and vehicle choices that will allow you to explore the neon-drenched streets in style. There’ll be four styles to choose from and that you’ll see as you pootle around, including Kitsch, Entropism, Neomilitarism, and Neokitsch....

Developer Phoenix Labs is dropping the launcher for Dauntless, and will move the game to the Epic Game Store soon. The date of the move is yet to be revealed. But when it happens, player accounts will automatically transfer to Epic’s store, so hopefully there won’t be any problems. Hopefully. As for now, players can still play the game through the launcher. You can, however, migrate early on to help Phoenix test the system....

Daybreak Games has splintered into three “franchise first” development teams for each of its properties to continue its standing as a strong MMORPG developer (via WccfTech). Beginning in 2018, the company had suffered several setbacks that threatened its future. Two lots of redundancies were carried out that year, leading to the loss of a third of its employees. In the latter months of 2019, Daybreak Games attempted a “realignment” to ameliorate its financial stresses, which caused an undisclosed number of layoffs, once again....

The Clown was one of the first killers to be added to Dead by Daylight, but his abilities have since undergone heavy changes. Once only equipped with his purple Afterpiece Tonic, which slows survivors down, he now also possesses the yellow Afterpiece Antidote, which speeds him and survivors up. The Afterpiece Antidote adds some variability to his powers, allowing killers more flexibility in chase. It grants him more map mobility, too, making him a more well-rounded killer....

Today Electronic Arts and Motive hosted a livestream focusing on the sound design being done for the upcoming Dead Space Remake. The developers explain the work being done on the remake to evolve the sounds while remaining faithful to the original. We take a look at a video focusing on audio occlusion, showing how sounds interact with the environment. A second video showcases a comparison between the original and new sounds for the iconic Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle....

The souped-up Death Stranding Director’s Cut will come to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store this spring. This is the version which arrived first for PlayStation 5 last summer, now with Intel’s fancy XeSS super sampling technology too. It adds extra story snippets, fresh gadgets and handy tweaks. Digital Foundry dubbed Death Stranding’s Directors Cut upgrade a “beautifully-tailored PS5 experience” that was worth the money. Speaking of money, there’s no word today on the ability to upgrade existing PC copies of Death Stranding to this Director’s Cut version....

Acclaimed adventure game Year Walk has been completely rebuilt for Wii U and will launch on the eShop this summer/autumn, developer Simogo has announced. Simogo has worked with Dakko Dakko to bring the game to Wii U with a host of changes to make “the definite and best version of the game”. “The game has been totally rebuilt for the platform, with the Wii U GamePad tightly integrated into the game,” explains the Simogo blog post....

There are nine different subclasses to choose from in Destiny 2, and most of them play significantly different from each other. Of the 3 classes, we have Titan, Warlock, and Hunter. From there, players choose from subclasses. The Warlock is the most magical, least armored class, with high health recovery. They make good allies and have exceptional advantages in PvP as well. There are some consistencies across all of the Warlock subclasses, but there are definitely a ton of little intricacies that make each of them unique....

It’s been a wild ride since Destiny 2 first released back in 2017, but the latest expansion for the game, Shadowkeep, is currently sitting at the number one spot on Steam. Although it received positive reviews and achieved impressive sales numbers when it launched, the player base of Destiny 2 started to dwindle as time went by. While the gameplay was fluid and engaging, there simply wasn’t enough high quality content to keep gamers hooked after a few months....

While many people were out popping champagne and watching the ball drop, frequenters of the Destiny subreddit gathered to celebrate the coming new decade with the latest in a long line of “sexy” fan art depicting characters from the Destiny series by user TheMaestroNoob. However, this piece was not a “character” so much as it was a sexy, anthropomorphized gun. Seven hours before midnight, TheMaestroNoob posted two images of a humanized version of The Last Word, an exotic hand cannon produced by the in-game company Tex Mechanica that was added to Destiny 2 in December 2018’s Black Armory DLC expansion....

Since the very beginning, Destiny 2 (and even Destiny 1 before it) has always been at war with its cap on Glimmer. While developer Bungie has tried to explain why there were limits on its in-game currency, players have found that the cap works against them. Thankfully, Bungie is raising the Glimmer Cap in Destiny 2 for the Shadowkeep expansion. It wasn’t the focus of this week’s Destiny 2 livestream, but the footage did include confirmation that the Glimmer Cap in Year 3 will be 250,000 Glimmer....

Earlier today, we mentioned the responses from Blizzard representatives addressing the Diablo: Immortal controversy.
