Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the Ryan Reynolds-starring Detective Pikachu, and it’s still looking remarkably adorable as ever. Plus, we also got our first look at Mewtwo and Charizard, which is just awesome. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Detective Pikachu is loosely based off of the 3DS title of the same name, and sees the little yellow fella (voiced by Reynolds) trying to figure out what happened to his partner....

PS4 exclusive Detroit, the next game from Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream, will be at E3, it’s been confirmed. The news came from games personality Greg Miller, who revealed last night that he was “excited to open Tuesday with Horizon [Zero Dawn], Batman/Walking Dead, Detroit” and more. Detroit was announced at last year’s Paris Games Week and puts players in control of Kara, an android living in the real world....

An upset Call of Duty player has sparked criticism for turning up in-person at an Activision Blizzard studio to try and get their Modern Warfare 2 ban overturned. Writing in a now-deleted post on reddit (thanks, PC Gamer), the first-person shooter fan stated they had been stopped by a security guard after entering the car park of the company’s office in Austin, Texas on Monday, 31st October. The fan says they “politely” asked to be let into the office to complain about their “wrongful” Modern Warfare 2 ban, having spent $140 on a special edition version of the game....

DICE has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Battlefield 2042 over the long term. The EA developer announced that Season 5 for the game has entered pre-production, which goes beyond the obligatory four seasons of content it owed to Year 1 battle pass subscribers. “Across our team continuing to focus on Battlefield 2042, we have a mix of veteran developers alongside those working on their first game breathing in new life,” DICE states in its latest blog post....

Disgaea 1 Complete, a modern revamp of the classic JRPG Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, is due out on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in the US on October 9 and in the UK on October 12. Developed by Nippon Ichi, Disgaea 1 Complete marks the 15th anniversary of the franchise that began on PlayStation 2, and spruces up the 2003 title with eyeball-popping new visuals and the new Etna Mode, which adds extra characters not seen in Hour of Darkness....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare receives updates regularly, sometimes multiple updates in a single week. Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that Covert Storm, the latest community event for Call of Duty: WWII, is now live and will remain active until September 25.
