Luke Ross, a modder who also created a VR mod for Red Dead Redemption 2, recently posted an update on his Patreon with a tech demo video showing off the game running in VR. In addition to this, Ross has stated that the mod will be released “by the end of next week,” even if he isn’t satisfied with the current level of polish....
UPDATE: Bandai Namco’s official announcement suggests that Dark Souls may not be backward compatible with Xbox One quite as soon as initially thought, confirming that it’ll be playable on the console “later”. “For a limited time, gamers who digitally pre-order DARK SOULS III on the Xbox One Store will receive the original DARK SOULS; playable now on Xbox 360, or on Xbox One later via Backward Compatibility,” Bandai Namco said. “The code for DARK SOULS will be delivered to their Xbox message center in 7-10 days....
Microsoft is publishing Dead Rising 4 “in partnership with Capcom”, Xbox marketing exec Aaron Greenberg has confirmed. Greenberg announced the partnership during a live broadcast with Geoff Keighley hours after Microsoft’s press conference earlier this evening, although it isn’t yet clear whether the game will remain a lifetime exclusive to Xbox similar to Dead Rising 3, or a timed exclusive similar to Rise of the Tomb Raider. The game’s box art (below) states that the game is an “Xbox One Exclusive”....

THQ Nordic has announced that extra-terrestrial adventure remake Destroy All Humans! will be heading to Nintendo Switch in June. Quantic Dream, the French studio behind Detroit: Become Human, has lost a court case to a former employee over offensive workplace conditions reported earlier this year. The employee is one of several to bring their grievances to court, but the first to actually win. The offensive conditions in question were exposed back in January. Reporters from three prominent French news sources–Le Monde, Canard PC, and Mediapart– teamed up to interview employees and uncover various instances of toxic behavior at the Quantic Dream offices....
Multiple former Striking Distance employees have not been credited for their work on The Callisto Protocol, a decision described as “egregious” by one developer. GamesIndustry.biz revealed that “roughly 20 people” who contributed their time and effort working on the game did not get mentioned in its end credits.
