Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.10 officially kicked off Season 1 for the game, adding a Battle Pass, new maps, game modes, and more for fans of the popular first-person shooter to tackle. Celeste developer Extremely OK Games has finally announced its follow-up to the platforming hit, with the studio’s next game going under the title Earthblade. While rather short on specifics, the team said that the new game would be “a 2D explor-action game in a seamless pixel art world” and in a “vibe reveal” also showcased a teaser of the game’s artwork in a poster and a snippet of music (by Pedro Medeiros and Lena Raine, respectively) to give an idea of what the game will be like in a tweet which we’ve embedded below....

UPDATE 15/2/22: Cities Skylines developer Paradox has issued a statement on the weekend’s warnings surrounding several mods. The blog, posted via Steam, details the issues it has found with the dodgy mods in question, and thanks fans for being alert to potential issues. To celebrate Pokemon’s anniversary, a new music video was released for the song “Reconnect” by Yaffle featuring Daichi Yamamoto and AAAMYYY. The song was released last year on the Pokemon 25 album, and this new music video feels like a blast to the past. Dark Souls 3 is getting a season pass, the Australian Xbox Store has revealed. According to the store, the season pass will offer access to “2 epic DLC packs at a discounted price”, introducing “new maps, bosses, enemies and additional weapon and armor sets”. Unfortunately, there’s no indication as to when the extra content will be released or how much the season pass will cost. The season pass will, however, be included with Dark Souls 3’s digital Deluxe Edition, which is listed for $137....

Phoenix Labs’ co-op ARPG Dauntless is about to hit the next stage of testing with the open beta. The open beta will kick off on 24 May and so far 100,000 have taken part in the game’s closed beta. Pheonix Labs will be pleased with the numbers because a further 800,000 have signed up to take part in the next phase of testing. The development team still have work to do and stress that in order to test changes to progression, island exploration, and other game systems, there will be two server wipes that will affect current players....

Despite not featuring the word ‘zombie’ once in the entire game, Sony Bend Studios’ upcoming Days Gone still looks like Another Zombie Game to us at times.
