Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers can now be customised in the Xbox Design Lab. Since 2016, the lab has allowed players to design their own controllers with personal colour combinations - body, buttons, triggers, sticks and more. Until now this has only been available for the standard controllers, but now the service is available for the premium Elite Series 2 that boasts adjustable thumbsticks, triggers, a rubberised grip, 40 hours of rechargeable battery life, and more....

The latest twist in the ongoing troubled Cyberpunk 2077 launch saga has seen PlayStation take the unprecdented step of actually removing the game from sale on the PlayStation Store, and offeing a full refund for anyone who’s bought the game digitally for the console. A statement tweeted by the Ask PlayStation Twitter account very late last night said “SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will beging to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store....

CD Projekt Red appears to have confirmed that all future updates and DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 have slipped into next year. The info comes following the company quietly updating a roadmap for the game. While the ‘Our Commitment to Quality’ page was first established in January, the updates roadmap has since been tweaked. As of October 28, 2021 all future updates and content for the game now appear to be targeted for 2022....

With Death Stranding only two months away from an official release, director Hideo Kojima has announced that the game will include a Very Easy Mode designed for users who may not be familiar with games but may still wish to enjoy the story. Unlike most video games, Death Stranding features the heavy use of actors Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Léa Seydoux, all known for their work in film and television....

Bethesda has released a new trailer for upcoming time-twisting FPS Deathloop, which takes heavy inspiration from the James Bond movie intros of the 60s. In an accompanying post on the game’s official website, Art Director Sebastien Mitton talked about these inspirations and more that will be found in the full game, saying “There are a lot of 1930s/40s-era influences on Blackreef, with its bunkers, abandoned labs and rusty structures. We pulled from locations like Prypiatt in Ukraine, Hashima in Japan, and Pyramiden, which is an abandoned Soviet coal mining settlement on the Norwegian archipelago....

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s Collector’s Edition will cost £109.99 on PS4 and Xbox One and £99.99 on PC when it goes on sale later this year. The edition is available to pre-order now from the Square Enix Store, and includes a copy of the game packaged in a limited edition Steelbook, along with a 48 page Titan Artbook and 9-inch Adam Jensen figurine. All of the content included with the Day One Edition is thrown in, too, including three ‘Covert Agent Packs’, an additional mission called ‘Desperate Measure’, a digital soundtrack and three digital books, including an artbook, comic book and novella....

Capcom has confirmed that stylish demon-slaying sequel Devil May Cry 5 will support microtransactions. Why? Because why not, apparently. The software giant confirmed the news at the Tokyo Game Show over the weekend (via GameSpot), where it revealed players will be able to spend their hard-earned dough on upgrades for Dante, Nero, and V. Devil May Cry 5 features Red Orbs as you would expect, which are used at Divinity Statues to upgrade your character....

Activision has announced that most post-launch content, like new maps and modes, will release simultaneously across all platforms for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. More recent games in the franchise have had timed-exclusivity deals with Sony, but it seems this will change. The announcement is most likely to encourage cross-play support, which is a big selling point for this year’s CoD. Players will be able to match with each other regardless of platform, although PC players will only be able to match with console players if they are using a controller....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has recently entered Season 2. While additional features will be scattered across the Season, the launch came with three new maps, the Call of Duty League Ruleset, and a new Battle Pass with two free guns and the premium Operator “Ghost.” Season 2 also launched alongside a large update patch, tackling many of the game’s bugs and issues. However, it seems that the patch’s notes didn’t disclose everything that it contained, and that there may even be an entirely new game mode hidden in the files, waiting for an official release....

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Capcom’s stupendous 2011 paranormal puzzle adventure about posessing inanimate objects, might be making a comeback, with the South Korean ratings board having now listed it for release on PC. Ghost Trick, for those unlucky enough to have never made its aquaintance, was created by Shu Takumi, best known as the designer of Capcom’s much-loved Ace Attorney series. Extremely OK Games, the developers behind the critically acclaimed platformer Celeste, has finally shown a first look at its next game: Earthblade. Back in 2021 they teased the project - a “2D explor-action game in a seamless pixel art world”. Now we’ve seen it in action.
