Comic Book Men has popped open its unusually-full cash register for the last time, since its cancellation by AMC – after seven seasons and 96 episodes – is now official. Creator Kevin Smith was the bearer of bad news on his Smodcast podcast, appropriately joined by Comic Book Men stars Walt Flanagan, Bryan Johnson, Michael Zapcic and Ming Chen. As Smith tells it, he received a fateful phone call from AMC president Charlie Collier, who told him straight up that the network won’t be renewing the series for an eighth season....

Fortnite’s Season 2 chapter 2 has been out since February 20th, and many have realized a clear theme for the season: it is all centered around villainous factions and spies. A new James Bond film is coming out soon, so there may be some kind of official Fortnite cross over event at some point, but nothing official has been revealed. Identity crisis Crucible tries to stand out from the crowd by being a sort of MOBA / hero shooter hybrid. It has the character design and cooldown system often seen among the hit hero shooters. However, the time to kill, objective design, and overall pacing is far more reminiscent of a traditional MOBA. In concept, this could work, but the execution just isn’t quite there. Pacific Drive was one of the more intriguing games announced during last night’s PlayStation State of Play. Ironwood Studios’ upcoming title is a first-person driving survival game that releases in 2023. And we don’t mean driving is a core mechanic like in most other survival games. In fact, Dead Island 2 hasn’t made an official appearance since Gamescom 2014. This led to a lot of people assuming that the game was quietly canceled. However, it seems that Dead Island 2 has been reanimated, and its release date could be poised for next year....

Following the announcement of a Death Stranding-themed PS4 Pro console that will be available at the time of the game’s release, MP1st first reported spotting a notice on the official console box art that seems to confirm that a PS Plus subscription will not be necessary to experience Death Stranding’s multiplayer components. During one of two gameplay videos showcased by creator Hideo Kojima at Tokyo Game Show 2019, Kojima explains that multiplayer in Death Stranding will function such that, while two players can’t directly interact, one player may find traces of other players and their actions in the game world....
