This week in Destiny 2, one player did the impossible and made it to power level 999. Utilizing the new Seasonal Artifact to advance well beyond the hard power cap of 960, the player immediately set out to test the theory found in the Truth to Power lore that soloing the Shattered Throne dungeon could end the Dreaming City curse. Being coached by the Destiny 2 streamer Gladd, the player known as Bagel4k took to the dungeon and on their second try managed to bring down Dul Incaru and finished the Shattered Dungeon solo....

Most Destiny 2 players will no doubt be familiar with the Crucible, the game’s high-octane combat arena. Keeping pace with the competition in Lord Shaxx’s clash of Guardians means keeping up with the PvP modes’ constantly evolving metagame, and optimizing one’s loadout with the best guns and gear. Patch 2.5 is now live in Diablo 2: Resurrected. The new content includes Terror Zones, the “fresh way to experience the journey to level 99 during seasons” that were launched on the public test realm a little while back as an all-new “experimental” feature. “Terror looms every hour as the armies of the Burning Hells cause monsters in a specific zone to increase in power and level, encouraging players to level up and collect loot in locations all across Sanctuary,” Blizzard teases....

The ‘The Art of Diablo’ book affirms that a Diablo 4 announcement might be coming soon, as shared by Reddit user Frocharocha. However, pages of ‘The Art of Diablo’ book have now been shared with the populace and seem to imply that Diablo 4 is very much a thing. One image states that Ryan Metcalf, Victor Lee, and Mike Franchina have lent their talents to the new game. Metcalf and Lee have worked on Diablo 3, as character and environment artists respectively....

Diablo IV was announced at BlizzCon this past weekend, and angels and demons alike rejoiced. Maybe partly because it wasn’t about Diablo Immortal. In a rather unorthodox addition to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, new virtual pets called Tomogunchis have been released for the game, parodying the Tamagotchi line of products. A player’s Tomogunchi is displayed on an in-game, cosmetic wristwatch, which can be purchased as part of the Tomogunchi bundle from the Modern Warfare Store. When the watch is equipped to a Modern Warfare player’s loadout, the Tomogunchis will appear on the watch, beginning in an egg, then hatching, growing, and ultimately evolving based on a variety of measures of the player’s performance in a match....

Modern Warfare 2 players are paying real money on eBay to unlock a hard-to-gain weapon in-game. The M13B Assault Rifle is contentiously locked behind a challenge in Warzone’s DMZ mode and is a massive pain in the bottom to complete. However, players have also found a neat trick that means that only one person in your group of friends has to complete the challenge. That player can then “drop” the weapon for other members of the squad to pick up, extract, and unlock....
