With villains galore, and the gothic architecture to match its villainous inhabitants, Gotham City, created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, is a hub of crime and deception. Its streets are caked in criminal activity, whether it be situated from the Iceberg Lounge, owned by Oswald Cobblepot (Penguin) himself, Blackgate Penitentiary, Arkham Asylum, or from the lower depths where giant crocodiles lurk, demons lay dormant, and a court of owls nest among the deceased....

GungHo Online Entertainment and Supertrick Games released a new developer diary video of the upcoming survival action game Deathverse: Let It Die. In the video (which Twinfinite can exclusively reveal), director Hideyuki Shin and iconic character Uncle Death expose the results of the survey that followed the recent open beta. We learn that North America was home to a sizable percentage of the respondents (42.9%), followed by Japan (21.2%). 24% of the respondents played the game for 1 to 2 hours, while 17% proved to be much more dedicated, playing for 5 to 6 hours....

Destiny 2 players finally have an official answer from Bungie about Solar Week, the event many players believe to be coming to Destiny 2 in the near future. Bungie cleared up the rumors and, unfortunately, the developer has no plans for Solar Week. That also puts an end to the rumor that the exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn would be returning during Solar Week as well. The first inkling of Solar Week came after data mined files appeared to contain references to a focus on Solar subclass path improvements, Solar-themed emotes and Solar-based activities....

Detective Pikachu is releasing next month, and has been generating a lot of positive buzz. One person has already seen the film. Unfortunately, video game movies have historically not been received well. Doom, Super Mario Bros., Mortal Kombat, and many more are seen as critical failures....

To many gamers, Denuvo, the anti-piracy DRM software found in some games, is a menace. We’ve seen many examples as to why this is the case. To cut to the quick, Denuvo often drags down performance in many games. Apparently, this is what’s happening now with the recently released Devil May Cry 5. Steam users have found a way to remove this software from the game, to promising results. According to a Steam Community page, players saw an improvement of around 20 frames....

Dataminers have spotted a battle royale mode in the beta source code for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, fuelling rumours that it could be coming to the game in its launch or in the future (via VG247). Though the Modern Warfare beta is done and dusted, dataminers over at VG Sources are as busy as bees. The idea of a battle royale mode has been mentioned before, when a Call of Duty YouTuber claimed that the mode would be arriving as a standalone game in early 2020....

A new mode has been announced for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and it is something the series hasn’t seen since Infinite Warfare. The mode is called Cranked and it is part of the latest update for Modern Warfare that is adding new operators, bug fixes, and bringing back some classic maps from the original Modern Warfare games. Cranked is the latest addition to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s stable of competitive multiplayer modes....

Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has become the most played Call of Duty game this generation, the game is not a flawless experience. In fact, since it launched in October, the game has had a laundry list of various issues from overpowered weapons, to map related issues, and other various bugs and glitches. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 is getting into gear, and it has already added two great maps and another huge amount of content available in its battle pass. Unfortunately, the new guns added to Season 2’s battle pass are not quite as good as the ones added last season. Even so, balancing changes have slowly but surely changed the way the the weapons in Modern Warfare stack up, so that now the meta looks quite a bit different than it did at first....

Capcom is developing a new game where you fight dinosaurs while wearing mech suits. It’s called Exoprimal, not Dino Crisis, and will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2023. The game - dubbed a new IP - was revealed during tonight’s PlayStation State of Play broadcast. We saw a stegosaurus, a T-Rex and more - hundreds of dinosaurs spilling out of portals into a futuristic city centre....

Capcom is planning years ahead for its free-to-play PS4 action title Deep Down, but all these plans may change if players decide they want something else, the game’s organising producer and senior manager of Consumer Games Development Teruki Miyashita has revealed in a Capcom produced interview. “Major updates are released regularly under a planned schedule,” explained Miyashita. “We expect for each new update to already be under development by the time we launch a certain service....

GungHo Online Entertainment has released a new trailer for Grasshopper Manufacture’s Let it Die, a free-to-play action game coming to PS4. From the mind of Suda 51, Let it Die sees players take on AI enemies which have behaviours based on previous players. If you die your character will live on as an enemy in someone else’s game, complete with all the gear you had equipped at the time of the tragic moment....

Remedy Entertainment’s latest action adventure shooter Control is out tomorrow, but reviews went up this morning to almost universal acclaim. The team that created Quantum Break, Max Payne and Alan Wake are back at it again with another sci-fi shooter. This time it’s more in the vein of The X-Files, putting a paranormal genre twist on their elevated power-driven action. The conceit of Control places players in the role of Jesse Faden exploring the paranormal government agency headquarters The Oldest House....

The latest episode of the Halo TV show has aired and, well, Master Chief had sex. Not content with taking his helmet off and getting his bum out, the Spartan warrior has now gone all the way.
