On Tuesday morning (March 17), Disney finally announced that its next Marvel Studios tentpole, Black Widow, was being moved off its May 1 arrival to an indefinite release date later in the year. The news was hardly shocking at this point: with the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly all major theater chains in North America — as well as many worldwide — have shut their doors for anywhere from six to 12 weeks, which effectively sealed the Widow’s fate regardless of the Mouse’s decision....

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has been officially revealed, and it’s developed by Toys for Bob with a story that continues the original trilogy. In the upcoming game, the nefarious Dr. Neo Cortex, the villainous Dr. N. Tropy, and the infamous Uka-Uka have torn the fabric of space and time, causing a temporal rift. This also reveals that the marsupials exist in a multiverse, and these enemies want to rule over the multiverse as its evil emperors....

Dark Souls 3 will get its first UK public hands-on at Play Expo in Manchester on October 10-11, Replay Events has announced. The Manchester gaming event will be the first opportunity for gamers in the UK to go hands-on with the highly anticipated action RPG from Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki. David Cage has said that he has “no plan” to develop a sequel to 2013’s Beyond: Two Souls, nor does he have any intention of going back and revisiting any of his earlier games. Doing so would “compromise the sincerity of the work”, he says. “No, there is no plan at the moment for a sequel to Beyond: Two Souls,” the director said in a Q&A on playstation.com. “We love starting new ideas and exploring different directions game after game....

Just when you thought Dead Cells couldn’t get any bigger, it, uh, did anyway. Again. Following up on the heels of the game’s Bad Seed expansion, which added two new early-game levels and a boss, the new Fatal Falls expansion does the same, but with mid-game levels. The game already had a ton of variety with a lot of great biomes so a couple more are always welcome. But you’re likely wondering if the new levels feel like overly familiar permutations or are more unique than that....

There’s a new Dead Cells DLC on the way, and you’d better get ready to do some gardening. Dead Cells just keeps getting better. What is already one of the best games of the 2010s and perhaps the best Metroidvania game of all time has already received several free updates that add new items, new weapons, and new ways to replay the game. Now it’s getting it’s first paid DLC coming in February....

Deadpool 2 had its fair share of problems leading up to its realization, and its original director quitting the project was just one of them. Tim Miller left after behind the scenes issues with star Ryan Reynolds came to a head, and Atomic Blonde‘s David Leitch was brought on board as a replacement. What key elements of the film changed in the interim are likely to emerge over a longish period of time, as those involved feel they can speak about such things without getting into too much legal trouble....

Although today is the weekly reset for Destiny 2, hardcore players are encouraged not to complete their Pinnacle Rewards until this coming Thursday. Bungie will release a new patch that will make those Pinnacle Reward sources more potent, jumping them up by an extra point of power. While those who actively follow Bungie’s blog post might be familiar with the upcoming Pinnacle Reward change, there are likely those Destiny 2 players who will jump into the game and focus on that endgame content....

Bungie is continuing to crank up the hype for Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and the Europa trailer today focuses on the newest location coming to the game. The moon is a desolate arctic waste, but there is much to see below its ice-covered outer layer. All in all, the trailer is a broad mix of things. While it is appropriately named the Europa Trailer, there’s still plenty of new details to talk about in relation to Beyond Light as a whole expansion....

In terms of bugs and glitches, Season of Dawn has seen an unusually high amount of problems. The trend began in December with numerous issues making it into the game including bugged weapons, quests that could prevent progress from being earned, and even the Obelisk in the EDZ not letting players interact with it to progress seasonal content. Unfortunately, this week’s update also caused another wave of issues for players including one that forced Bungie to start emergency maintenance on Destiny 2 in order to correct a bug that deleted player resources and upgrade materials....

Destiny 2’s Hierarchy of Needs is a new Exotic bow added as a reward in Season of the Seraph. It’s an energy-slot Solar bow with an intrinsic perk that allows its arrows to track enemies when firing with the weapon through a ‘Guidance Ring’, created by landing precision hits and final blows against combatants and Guardians – final blows on Guardians generate more energy to build up the Guidance Ring charge....

The day many Destiny 2 players have been waiting for finally happened earlier as the community finally finished stage 7 of the Empryean Foundation. After donating the 9,777,777,700 fractaline needed to finish the challenge, the rumors surrounding Trials of Osiris were confirmed by Bungie through a new trailer. As exciting as that was, the reveal also confirmed more than a few player fears for the season 10 mode and its potential balance....

With a bevy of horror games forthcoming, from Dying Light 2 and The Last of Us Part II to Elden Ring and Asylum, Devolver Digital’s own foray into the genre seems both a refreshing and promising excursion. Stylized as a reverse horror game that sees players taking control of a monstrous goo-like substance reminiscent of Marvel’s Carnage, Carrion is unlike the multitudes of reverse horror experiences that have come before it....

We’re almost into Call of Duty season, so it only makes sense that the Modern Warfare multiplayer beta will be starting up soon. Launching on PS4 this weekend, PC and Xbox One players will be able to jump into the fray next weekend to try out the latest Activision-published shooter. Infinity Ward is back in the saddle, and we’re returning to the present day to get our military intrigue on. The second Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta weekend will be open to all PS4 owners, Infinity Ward has announced. The first weekend was open exclusively to PS4 owners who had pre-ordered Infinite Warfare. Xbox One gamers who have pre-ordered the game can also take part in the second beta. “Thank you to the awesome Call of Duty community and your response to the Beta. We’ve been watching players experiment with different Rigs, all unique to their play styles, and dig into our new weapon crafting system....

This Castle Rock review contains spoilers. Castle Rock Episode 7 Seven episodes in, Castle Rock is the best “adaptation” of Stephen King’s work ever put on the small screen (and it’s much better than most of the movies, too). But even that is selling this show short. Castle Rock has proved itself to be more than just one big easter egg and reference guide to the King universe. This series is more earnest than that, and it’s to the credit of showrunners Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason and all of the writers and directors that Castle Rock transcends the traditional adaptation....

Max Hoberman, CEO of Halo co-developer Certain Affinity, has shared a message with staff regarding recent political events, namely those involving personal health and privacy matters and the recent draft from the US Supreme Court to potentially overturn Roe vs. Wade. “As a business leader it’s exceptionally difficult to navigate highly politicised issues like transgender and abortion rights. But I’m not content to sit back and say or do nothing,” he tweeted, before sharing an in-depth message he had sent out to his employees....

Even in the original, Claptrap was an annoying little robot gag that frequently rattled on with useless banter. Weapon descriptions were pretty funny at times, but more or less could have been written by Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford himself. Then there’s the overall zaniness of the entire series. The Borderlands franchise continues to lean more into this immature, irreverent comedy that may have been hilarious to players when they were children....
