All In! Games announced today that its survival horror RPG Chernobylite has finally received a July 2021 release date. The game has been in Early Access on Steam since October 2019, with a series of patches providing updates to the story and gameplay. This summer, players will be able to virtually travel to the site of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster and fight for their lives in the aftermath of the accident, several years later....

Despite announcing a companion card game to Cyberpunk 2077, called Cyberpunk 2077 - Afterlife, CD Projekt Red will NOT be including a Netrunner-type card game in Cyberpunk 2077 à la Gwent in the Witcher series. Rumors have circulated for months that CD Projekt Red had plans to make the legacy card game Android: Netrunner into a mini-game that can be played within Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, a Reddit post from Business Development Director Rafal Jaki has confirmed that no such plans are underway at the studio....

Dark Souls creator and From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki has reaffirmed his desire to work on a title in the sci-fi genre, having previously suggested to press at E3 that such a title could be on the cards. Speaking at Gamescom last week, he told GameSpot that he would “bring the Miyazaki Touch” to the title, and indicated such a game could be part of his remit as From Software president to launch “several new projects”....

Darksiders Warmastered Edition (which the Spaced fan in me really wants to call the War Bastard Edition) is, in some ways, an unlikely renovation of the 2010 original. Not only is the original publisher (THQ) dead and bankrupt, the original developers (Vigil Games) are gone too. The Darksiders property is now owned by Nordic Games, and this particular edition was developed by Kaiko. Which explains what she was up to during all of those Deep Space Nine episodes “visiting her mother”....

The developer behind irreverent zombie franchise Dead Rising has confirmed it has been hit by a number of layoffs. News of the job cuts coincide with reports of Capcom Vancouver cancelling an unannounced project, though it has been stressed that Dead Rising itself has not been scrapped. Speaking with GameSpot, a representative for the developer confirmed that a recent restructure has ‘impacted approximately 30% of the studio,’ though did not comment on the rumoured game cancellation or any major changes to the Dead Rising series as a whole....

Deathloop‘s co-director has been promoted to studio head of developer Arkane Lyon, who are also behind the Dishonored series. As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, Dinga Bakaba was promoted in October, just a month following the release of Deathloop. However, he is still retaining his previous position too as the studio’s co-creative director. The latter is a position he shares with Deathloop‘s other co-director and art director, Sebastian Mitton. Bakaba joined Arkane back in 2010 as a systems designer and associate producer for the first Dishonored....

The company behind controversial anti-piracy software Denuvo has announced an “innovative solution” to the piracy of Nintendo Switch games on PC. Irdeto today published a press release about its Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection solution, as a call to developers and publishers who may be interested in including it with their games. In its statement, Irdeto targets not only first-party and second-party Switch games, but ports of PC games too. “Nintendo consoles have long suffered from piracy issues and the Switch is no different,” the company wrote....

The Dawning is the Winter Live Event that occurs every December and January in Destiny 2. Apart from the is an event, the Rite of Dawning is a Quest which is a part of the Dawning Event in 2021. In this Quest, the player must collect a lot of Items and Ingredients and give them to certain NPCs. One such Ingredient is the Dark Chocolate Motes. You will have to collect the ingredients that make the Dark Chocolate Motes and hand them over to an NPC known as the Drifter....

The new Cross Save feature has gone live in Destiny 2 allowing players to transfer and play their account across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. While this is somewhat of a precursor to the full potential of Cross Save, which will be a little more flexible in terms of how much content players can access once New Light comes out October 1st. However, players may now prepare their accounts and start using Cross Save if they own the game across multiple platforms....

Destiny 2 received a new update today, and while it included some new content and bug fixes, it also caused a serious issue. After downloading the latest Destiny 2 update, many players found that their Glimmer was gone, along with various other resources and materials in their inventory. Considering the severity of this bug, Bungie has decided to take the Destiny 2 servers down while it works on a fix to the problem....

OtherSide Entertainment has announced that co-founder Warren Spector has a new game in development. While details (spotted by Gematsu) are currently scant, the press release declares that the new game will be an “immersive simulation”. It’ll also be based on a completely new intellectual property, developed by the Austin, Texas studio. There’s no words on platforms or an ETA just yet, but there is a quote from the creator of Deus Ex and System Shock himself....
