Actor Chris Pratt has been discussing his - somewhat controversial - role in the upcoming CGI Super Mario Bros. movie, telling Variety that his take on the title character will be “updated and unlike anything you’ve heard in the Mario world before.” Mario has, of course, been voiced by Charles Martinet since 1992, and his video game performance has become inseparable from Nintendo’s flagship character. As such, Mario fans were somewhat aghast last year when Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced Pratt would be replacing Martinet as the voice of Mario in the upcoming film....

A Lord of the Rings themed mod for Total War: Attila has been hit with a copyright notice. The mod in question is Rise of Mordor, and it has been around for eons. And yet, in the same week that the Lord of the Rings film and game rights have also happened to go up for sale, Warner Bros has issued a DMC takedown claim to its developers. Interesting timing....

Following on from the Microsoft E3 2017 conference, the kind folks of Microsoft have released a bevy of new screenshots for Crackdown 3. These screens are 4K screenshots of in-game action, of course this will only be possible in its full unbridled glory on the Xbox One X. Along with these screenshots we also see some of the artwork that is similar to a comic book style, with your typical cel-shaded look reminiscent of the visual style of the game itself....

It looks like Crash Team Racing, the PS1 cult classic kart title, is making a comeback. PlayStation Access (official YouTube channel of PlayStation UK) Channel Manager Hollie Bennett teased a Crash racing title on Twitter, showing two orange dice. Bennett isn’t the only one to receive the rather odd package. Both IGN and Windows Central reported to have also received the orange dice with the note. Interestingly, Windows Central says that it’s probably Activision who sent the package....

Crytek and Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games have finally settled a lawsuit between the two companies, putting an end to a years-long legal battle. The drama between the two companies has been going on for about two years, over a dispute about Star Citizen’s use of CryEngine 3. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed, though the two companies will file a joint motion to have the case dismissed within the next 30 days, giving them the opportunity to “document and execute” their agreement, according to court documents....

CD Projekt Red took a lot of time to release their ambtious video game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ but the final product still has a lot bugs. There is a glitch in Cyberpunk 2077, allowing players to duplicate items and get their desired weapon and any item for free. If you too are tired of completing side jobs and gigs to earn money in Cyberpunk 2077 then you can resort to glitches in the game....

A father is attempting to launch a class-action lawsuit against Hearthstone maker Blizzard, after his daughter secretly spent more than $300 on packs without getting all the cards they wanted. Arizona man Nathan Harris is trying to launch the suit, which claims Hearthstone tricks players into non-refundable purchases without knowing the odds of rare cards (thanks, Polygon). In particular, Harris complains that his daughter - who used his credit card without asking - did not realise you could not get a refund from packs which “almost never received any valuable cards”....

As revealed in the video below, Stryker is the host of the new in-game radio station Smash FM, providing the voiceover for a brand new training video. Look out for the update later today. Bend Studio’s 2019 post-apocalyptic PlayStation exclusive Days Gone will be heading to PC this Spring, it’s been confirmed. The release was formally announced by the Bend Studio Twitter account, with more details on the move coming in the near future. It also won’t be the only PlayStation title coming to PC in the near future, as Jim Ryan has confirmed with GQ that it intends to follow in the footsteps of Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding by releasing more former exclusives for the PC as well....

Death Stranding is a weird game. It was obvious that this game was going to be a ride from that first reveal at E3 2016. It was here that we found a naked Norman Reedus on a beach with a baby and a bunch of dead fish and whales. The real game certainly doesn’t disappoint for those looking for another curveball from Kojima. While some of the following strange moments were spoilers in trailers, let’s forget those even exist....

Death Stranding is a weird game. The game is so difficult to properly describe, in fact, that game director Hideo Kojima invented a new genre for it. Death Stranding seems to be about a delivery man who has a baby attached to him while he explores a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by invisible ghosts with psychic powers. And it also lets players pee on things. Joining the ranks of games like Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Death Stranding literally lets players pee, and what’s more, pee can actually be used as a weapon in the game....

Today during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, a follow-up game to the sci-fi thriller Deliver Us the Moon was announced. It’s called Deliver Us Mars, and during the show, we got our first look at it with a two-minute teaser announcement trailer. The first thing we see in the teaser trailer is a barren, red planet with the remains of some sort of ship torn apart on the surface. The only apparent survivor appears to be an astronaut who we see making her way up a small hill....

Today Aniplex released a trailer showcasing the next season of the massively popular Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series, the Swordsmith Village arc. The trailer provides the first look at the animation, which is created by acclaimed studio Ufotable, including some of the characters who will appear.
