Destiny 2 director Luke Smith continues his trend of releasing lengthy articles regarding Bungie’s plans for the future and the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion. Today Smith dropped a new piece titled “Seasons in Destiny 2’s Third Year.” The bulk of the article deals with Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s first season, the Season of the Undying, as well as Bungie’s broader plans for Year 3. However, there’s also a hint at Bungie’s specific plans for the second season following Shadowkeep’s launch....

Devil May Cry 5 is finally upon us. It’s running on the same engine as Resident Evil 7 and comes with some pretty reasonable minimum specs. As you can see, my rig isn’t exactly impressive, but I was still mostly able to run the game at 60 FPS the majority of the time, with a few settings turned down or off. It’s worth noting that the game uses Denuvo as well, so beware if you’re not fond of that....

There’s a lot that can be said about the film Cats, but one thing that’s absolutely clear is that the creators went all in. Cats is unlike any other film and, despite the negative overall reception, is probably worth watching just for the experience. The film is drowning in computer graphics transforming its characters into cat-people, a feat reportedly managed with no mocap whatsoever. It’s only fitting, and also hilarious, that such a CG-rich film apparently required a day-one patch before theaters could show it....

Pixelated indie platformers are not necessarily games that I gravitate towards, but I have been wanting to play Celeste ever since learning about the game that was originally released in late-January 2018. However, I’ve never managed to do so, for one reason or another. So, you can imagine my delight upon learning that the game was becoming free-to-play on the Epic Games Store this past weekend. Contraband is a co-op open-world game from Avalanche Studios, the developer behind the Just Cause series. During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, we got a trailer for Contraband, which shows the planning of a heist. The seventies may well have been a decade of doormat sideburns and unending beige, but it makes for a good heist backdrop....

At this point, it’s a little confusing as to what each version of Corpse Party is, so I’m going to break it down before getting to whether or not Corpse Party (2021) is worth it on PC. There’s been a similarly-titled version of the game on Steam for five years. If you had any interest in the series prior to now, you probably played that one. To be more precise, Corpse Party first debuted in 1996 on the NEC PC-9801 line of home computers in Japan, using an earlier version of what would become RPG Maker....

Another new trailer has been released for the upcoming kart racing remake Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, focusing on the brand new customisation options. Whereas the orignal game allowed only a choice of racer (which also dictated your kart) it seems the new version will let you customise your kart to your liking, including allowing you to select different kart bodies, paint jobs, decals, stickers and wheels. If that wasn’t enough, the racers themselves can also be customised via skins and you can also choose your own victory animation to rub those victories in just the way you want to....

Curse of the Dead Gods isn’t faltering with its regular monthly updates. Last month, the rogue-lite dungeon crawler received the Armory Update, which added new weapons and made significant changes to the armory system. Now, Passtech Games and Focus Home Interactive have introduced the Curse of the Dead Gods Eagle’s Spire Update. The Eagle’s Spire is the biggest update to Curse of the Dead Gods yet.
