When Travis Knight was announced as Bumblebee‘s director, there was a heightened expectation for the movie, as his animation work had seen a superb run of character-driven work, wrapped within a unique visual style. Coraline, ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls and Kubo And The Two Strings have all been fantastic, alternative family entertainment with an edge, delving into dark corners of dysfunctional relationships while brimming with hope and heart. Thankfully Knight has managed to bring the same sensibility to Bumblebee, which is not only the best film in the franchise but a great film in its own right....

Following a mysterious stream, CDPR has released a 48 minute gameplay trailer for Cyberpunk 2077. Originally conceived as an April Fools’ joke, Funcom’s Conan Chop Chop has become quite the serious project. And just when players were about to get their hands on it, it ends up delayed. Although the dystopian future of Cyberpunk 2077 might seem further away than ever to fans after announcements of the Cyberpunk 2077’s delay until September, parts of that future might be already happening now. In a troubling statement, developer CD Projekt Red announced that it would expect its employees to crunch and work even longer hours to ensure that the game launches on time. To elaborate, the “crunch period” in video game development often refers to when game development teams are forced to work much longer hours for an extended period of time, at the cost of their physical and mental health....

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will, like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, have multiple endings. Speaking with YongYea (via GameSpot) at E3, in a meaty 23 minute interview, quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz simply answered ‘yes,’ when he was asked ‘are there multiple endings?’ And that’s where the conversation on endings ended. As well as that, Tomaszkiewicz said that all augmentations, past the prologue, are optional; the team is ‘still thinking on’ a new game plus mode; you can summon vehicles to wherever you are on the map; the developer is considering a photo mode; players will be able to enter many of the buildings in the world, but not all of them; and there are plenty of mini games, but none of them are Gwent....

Dataminers have been poking around in Grand Theft Auto Online in hopes of uncovering yet more Red Dead Redemption 2 items, and their efforts have paid off: The Guru Team have unearthed a stone hatchet. For reference, developer Rockstar Games launched a crossover event last year for GTA Online, which allowed you to unlock a weapon for the upcoming Wild West sequel. The Guru Team (via PC Gamer) actually found this item before the event was event announced, and it looks like they’ve now done it again....
