Not too long ago, a new development at a Rockstar studio suggested that Rockstar Games would be announcing its next game soon, with the common thought being that it would be Bully 2 or Grand Theft Auto 6. Either would make fans of the respective franchise happy, yet now, a crazy Grand Theft Auto Online theory suggests that the next game would be Bully 2. When the online GTA counterpart received its Diamond Casino and Resort DLC, players quickly found a nice little Bully Easter egg....

Amanita Design - the developer behind the acclaimed likes of Samorost, Machinarium, Creaks, and last year’s surreal horror Happy Games - has unveiled its latest project: “hand-crafted” dystopian adventure Phonopolis. Phonopolis, which makes use of actual corrugated cardboard sets and a 12fps stop-motion animation style inspired by classic animated films, casts players as Felix, a thoughtful young man who must try and stop the titular city’s authoritarian leader from playing the Absolute tone - an occurrence that would effectively cause Felix and his fellow citizens to lose their humanity....

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will reportedly run at 60 frames per second on console, and at 120fps on PC. The game’s producer, Mariko Sato, spoke to IGN about the game’s performance. Sato said that the remaster will be “visually aligned and up to the standards of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.” This means that it will run on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at 60fps. And that some fancy pants PCs will be able to run it in 120fps....

Card-based cult-starting game Cultist Simulator is being updated with a slew of new content, aimed at driving you mad with difficulty… and also unspeakable secrets, but mostly difficulty. The big new addition is the New Game+ mode, which unlocks the Apostle Legacies and has you aim for actual godhood. Unfortunately, the local demigods aren’t best pleased with this. They’ll attempt to stop you at every turn – with considerably more viciousness than Rivals or Detectives....

Mike Pondsmith, original creator and game designer of the Cyberpunk series, has been speaking about working with developer CD Projekt Red on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game, and he’s got plenty of good words for the studio. Speaking in an extensive interview with Video Games Chronicle, Pondsmith said that the Cyberpunk license had been ‘optioned for years to many, many different studios. But what I saw in CD Projekt was that they really cared about it and the things that were important to us were important to them....

The mech game from Armored Core producer Kenichiro Tsukuda Daemon X Machina, is on its way to Nintendo Switch next week. Back in February, Marvelous released a demo for the game titled “Prototype Missions.” While decent, many players had a number of criticisms, ranging from the lock-on system to the frame rate. Destiny 2’s The Dawning sees the return of the game’s annual holiday event. As with previous years, it centres around oven cookie recipes, each requiring ingredients before you can cook them - all of which are generated by killing different things with specific methods. Creating different recipes is all part of several questlines, including the Cookie Delivery Helper quest, which can help you upgrade your oven.
