Square Enix is looking into making the Xbox 360 version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution backwards compatible with Xbox One, it’s been revealed. Discussing the possibility of backwards compatibility in a tweet posted yesterday, the official Deus Ex account said that the team is “working to make it happen” and that it is “hoping to have good news soon”. Xbox 360 backwards compatibility is set to arrive on Xbox One this November, with around 100 titles due to be supported at launch....

Sony’s previously announced partnership with Discord has finally reached fruition, and PlayStation users can start linking their PSN accounts with the chat platform from today. Sony Interactive Entertainment president Jim Ryan formally announced Discord integration for PlayStation Network last May, saying the companies were aiming to bring “the Discord and PlayStation experiences closer together on console and mobile starting early next year”. At the time, it wasn’t entirely clear how far that integration might actually go, but now, in a new post on the Discord website, all has been revealed....

The official word, for now, is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare won’t feature a battle royale mode. Despite that, more and more information regarding a purported Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode continues to leak online. The latest leak stems for a reported datamine of Call of Duy: Modern Warfare’s ongoing PC beta. The leak reportedly reveals Modern Warfare’s battle royale map locations, several lootable items, and most curiously a form of cash called Plunder....

Although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has continued to sell well for Infinity Ward and Activision, the game faces a myriad of issues raised by the community like its current skill based matchmaking, overpowered weapons, map designs, and more. For all of the problems, there remain a number of bright spots like the 2v2 mode, Gunfight. Activision is focusing in on that for its new Tournament which is now live for all players....

If you have played Warzone Pacific lately, there is a high chance that you have encountered some bugs and glitches. Recently, Activision shared a statement with the Call of Duty community. This promised to fix the state of the battle royale, as well as Vanguard and Modern Warfare 2019. Since then, the developers have been hard at work rolling out regular updates. The rumours are true: Activision’s Beachhead Studios has spent the last two years working on Elite, an integrated online platform for all upcoming Call of Duty games. Modern Warfare 3 will launch on November 8 with full support for Elite, which itself will include a premium subscription option for dedicated fans. Premium subscriptions will allow users access to Call of Duty DLC as and when it’s released – though map packs will still be available in their traditional retail fashion – and Beachhead Studios is also teasing exclusive Call of Duty content for Elite subscribers, opening the door for the possibility of things like custom weapon skins and even Elite-only Spec Ops levels in Modern Warfare 3....
