A new online gaming platform is about to enter the market. Discord just finally revealed the first seven titles to be released on its storefront. These will be known as ‘“First on Discord” titles. It will be nice to have another platform for players to choose from as an alternative to Steam. Fans have been hoping for a while that Discord would make the move, so good on them for finally stepping up....

Every Call of Duty release is practically guaranteed to be a hit, and it seems that Call of Duty: Mobile is no exception. Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s footstep volume has increased by up to 75 percent following the release of the Season One patch. Among the many other major changes made to gameplay in Modern Warfare 2, audio design also got a major overhaul, and many players weren’t happy. In the beta, footsteps were incredibly loud, sometimes overwhelmingly so, that was it was hard to hear anything else. This also made moving around stealthily or flanking almost impossible....

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt has confirmed it has begun development on the next game in The Witcher series. “We’re happy to announce that the next instalment in The Witcher series of video games is currently in development, kicking off a new saga for the franchise,” CD Projekt said today. The game will see the series move to Unreal Engine 5 and mark the start of a new “strategic partnership” with Epic Games....
More Cyberpunk 2077 news is inbound next month, as CD Projekt Red has announced a ‘Night City Wire’ event for June 11 (via Xbox Achievements). Night City is the name of the setting for the anticipated dystopian RPG, and it would be safe to say that ‘Night City Wire’ will comprise of the content that would have been shown off during E3 2020. Matt Thorson has announced that Celeste, the charming retro-themed mountain climbing adventure, will be releasing in January, although no further specific date has been given. Ever since Portal 2, I’ve developed a love for 3D adventures that feature environmental puzzles and the like. The same can also be said for many of the developers that create games in the genre. There are many new titles clearly inspired by Valve’s hit puzzler. Thinking back in review, this applies to Claire de Lune to an extent, though there’s nothing wrong with that since the game also does its own thing in many ways....

In a surprise move, it appears that classic point and click PC adventure Maniac Mansion has been released on Steam in its own standalone release for the first time ever. The game, which was the prequel to Day of the Tentacle, first came out in 1987 but has never actually been available on the Steam service or for direct download officially by itself until now. It is however included in its entirety on the recent Day of the Tentacle Remastered release that came out last year....
