Sledgehammer Games has announced the next slice of downloadable content for Call of Duty: WWII, offering a brand new selection of maps plus the next chapter in the game’s Nazi Zombies campaign. The War Machine will include a brand new War Mode offering known as Operation Husky, which was co-developed by Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. The main highlight here is the introduction of a new aerial dog fighting mechanic, which the game previously teased during the Battle of the Bulge campaign mission....

The first in a series of events in the Call of Duty World League Challenge Division have been announced, giving regular players the chance to compete at the highest level. The Challenge Division will offer amateur players outside of the Pro Division a path to the Call of Duty Championship. Each season the best 80 teams worldwide will be invited to the Championship Qualifiers. In addition to the Call of Duty Championship Qualifiers, top performing teams in Challenge Division events in February and March can make it to the Stage 1 Relegation tournament, where they will take on Pro Division teams to potentially earn a place in the CWL Pro Division....

A new, limited-time demo of Children of Morta is available on Steam until June 22. The game tells the story of the Bergson family, who have been a long line of protectors making their home on Mountain Morta. The gameplay itself is an enjoyable rogue-lite adventure, and the demo lets players explore through a dark forest to discover the effects that a spreading corruption has been causing. Later, players can delve into a spider cave, and that’s where the game really starts to show its rogue-lite bones....

Ukrainian in-game leader Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko has announced his upcoming retirement from professional Counter-Strike. The Natus Vincere veteran will play out one more event with the team. Zeus first joined NaVi in 2009, then playing Counter-Strike 1.6 for the organization. Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko’s Global Offensive career began in 2012 with the game’s inception. Cyberpunk 2077 has officially entered the final stages of its development. CD Projekt Red revealed the information through a comment made about their third-quarter financial report. In their statement, CD Projekt Red claimed that the game was in its final “most-intensive” stages of development. What exactly the company meant by that is vague, but considering how grandiose in size Cyberpunk 2077 is supposed to be, it’s not hard to imagine that the developers of the game are in crunch time....

Cyberpunk Edgerunners is fantastic, the latest in a recent line of impressive anime adaptations of video games. I’ve enjoyed the low-level shenanigans of its eclectic cast of sci-fi punks as they navigate the never-ending dystopia that is Night City. It presents a story more heartfelt than Cyberpunk 2077’s, with more likeable characters (not hard, when you consider the relentless - and inescapable - dickheadishness of Keanu Reeves’ Johnny Silverhand). Edgerunners, though, offers a slither of hope, and not just for its fictional characters....

When Dark Souls: Remastered launched nearly three years ago, publisher Bandai Namco didn’t offer a free upgrade from the original PC release. Day of the Tentacle Remastered is coming to PS4, PS Vita, PC and Mac in March 2016, Double Fine has announced. A price has yet to be announced. Featuring brand new hand-drawn artwork and remastered audio, Tim Schafer’s classic point & click sends players on a time-travelling adventure to stop an evil purple tentacle from taking over the world. This spoiler-free Daybreak review is based on viewing of the first five episodes. Every show should be judged based on its success in entertaining the audience for which it was intended, and Daybreak, as a post-apocalyptic teen dramedy, will doubtlessly please those who enjoy a bit of fourth wall breaking narration and exaggerated iterations of high school cliques in survival mode. The logic behind the premise that a biological weapon killed most adults and turned others into zombie-like “ghoulies” will quickly be seen as unimportant simply because the characters themselves are compelling, particularly the show’s protagonists Josh (Colin Ford), Wesley Fists (Austin Crute), and Angelica (Alyvia Alyn Lind)....

Destiny 2’s next big update is finally live and there’s a lot of new content for Guardians new and old to enjoy. With a new campaign, an expanded armor system, new weapons, new armor, and several new activities, Shadwokeep can be daunting at first, but the expansion is chock full of content that players can focus on with plenty more to come as the game goes on. Bungie has, of course, laid out a roadmap for players, but as users are jumping in and finally getting their hands on Shadowkeep, it would be smart for us to focus on what’s available right now....

Override is a new six-player activity in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer, and it even has matchmaking enabled. Fans have been eager to hear more information on the upcoming Destiny 2 season, which has continued to be shrouded in mystery.
