Bungie is gearing up for the release of Destiny 2’s second major expansion, Warmind, next week alongside a slew of new updates for the alien-slaying shooter. Before that however, there’s yet another weekly reset to help pass the time, which also happens to be the last one before Season 3 comes knockin'. The Nightfall Strike is likely your first port of call for weekly activities, as it coughs up some pretty sweet loot; and really, that’s what Destiny 2 boils down to at the end of the day, loot....

Yes, you’ve probably seen Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, the Queen of Atlantis, in Aquaman once already this weekend and you may even be on your way to a second visit. If you saw the Captain Marvel trailer or poster, you may have noticed Carol Danvers’ furry friend. That little fuzzball is known in the comics as Chewie, Carol’s temperamental cat*. For Marvel’s March 8th Captain Marvel movie, Carol’s pet cat is named Goose. While it’s a bummer that we’re losing the Star Wars reference and original name, at least Goose is still a period-appropriate pop culture reference (Top Gun), for which Carol is known, and still a fellow pilot to boot....

China’s State Administration of Press and Publication, the Chinese regulatory body for video games, has issued new regulations limiting the ways that minors can access and play video games. The new regulations are severe, limiting both the total amount of time minors in China can play games significantly and imposing a mandatory curfew for playing games. It also requires that minors in China register via an identification system that would allow game developers/publishers to impose the new rules on them....

Code Vein is an anime Souls-like action RPG that focuses on challenging combat, character customization, and a unique post-apocalyptic setting. It also places a large emphasis on certain parts of the female anatomy. Although they have toned this down in the DLC trailer. Four months after its launch, Bandai Namco Entertainment has released the Code Vein – Hellfire Knight DLC. And you can pick it up for just $9.99. The DLC introduces a bunch of new content to the game....

The organisers of the 2022 Commonwealth Games have confirmed the three games players will be battling it out in during the event’s inaugural Commonwealth Esport Championships. DOTA 2, Rocket League and eFootball will all be featured at the event, which is being held in Birmingham this August. Each of these three titles will include an open category and women category. “Alongside the Global Esports Federation, we are delighted to unveil three major titles for the Commonwealth Esports Championships in Birmingham this summer,” said Katie Sadleir, CEO of the Commonwealth Games Federation....

Halo Infinite fans are likely used to waiting for content at this point. However, that doesn’t mean the news of delays won’t sting any less. Earlier today, developer 343 Industries outlined its plans for the tent-pole first-person shooter, offering up a new roadmap. And there’s some good mixed with the not so good. Halo Infinite is getting a major update this November, with a Forge beta and online co-op. However, local — or couch — co-op has been canceled, and Halo Infinite Season 3 is delayed until March 2023....

Just yesterday, Sony announced that it would be delaying the release of The Last of Us Part II to give developer NaughtyDog more time to polish it up. While still unconfirmed, a recent report by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier has stated that Ghost of Tsushima has also suffered a delay because of Sony’s decision. Barely two weeks have passed since the release of Dead Cells’ third paid expansion, The Queen and the Sea, but developer Motion Twin’s astonishing post-launch support continues apace, with the studio now requesting input as it looks to improve the acclaimed rogue-like action-platformer’s accessibility features. “Recently we’ve been exploring how to make Dead Cells as accessible as possible,” Motion Twin - or rather, subsidiary Evil Empire, which now handles Dead Cells’ development - revealed on Twitter....

Koei Tecmo has revealed the first screenshots of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, the next entry in the volleyball spin-off series heading to PS4 and PS Vita. While the game is still only confirmed for release in Asia, Team Ninja says that it’s also gauging interest for an international release, and could release an “edited” version for Western audiences should there be enough demand. “As a fighting game, there are a great deal of fans overseas, but for the Xtreme series, domestic fans make up an overwhelming majority,” producer Yosuke Hayashi is reported to have said in an interview with Famitsu (via Kotaku)....

After an extremely terrifying and compelling E3 teaser, Dead Space 2 has been somewhat absent from the game news scene. Turns out the game was only lurking in the shadows waiting to scare everyone’s pants off us with its newest trailer. Set to the tune of ‘Ring Around the Rosie’ with new haunting verses thrown in for good measure, I suggest you turn all the lights on before hitting play....

In case you missed it, Guy ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm revealed the first footage of his new studio’s first game – ‘vertical shooter’ Deadrop – over the weekend. What is Deadrop? But what is Deadrop? The developer, Midnight Society, has called it a ‘Vertical Extraction Shooter’ or ‘VES’ for short. As to what that means, it’s currently unclear. We know it’ll take place in arenas made up of what they’re calling ‘Refiner States’....

We’re closing out the year with a bang. Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Witch Queen has arrived, tasking Guardians with taking the fight to Savathun in her Throne World in a chunk of campaign content. The expansion also sets some new Power caps, introduces a new Raid, and of course get their hands on a bunch of new exotic gear. For those that immediately preordered, you’ll also have some Destiny 2 Witch Queen preorder bonus items you can get immediately upon logging in to the servers, and here’s what they are and how to get them....

A developer on Destiny 2 briefly discussed some of the misconceptions about Bungie’s relationship with former publisher Activision. The developer said he wished to “dispel some rumors.” Earlier this year, Bungie announced that it would split from Activision and venture forth to make Destiny 2 on its own. The two companies had shared a partnership around the franchise before production began on the first game and Destiny saw a few big releases during that time....

Disabling items in Destiny 2 shouldn’t be a surprise anymore, as with a new season comes new bugs and glitches in the game. The Exotic Fusion Rifle, Telesto, is notorious for being disabled multiple times for breaking the game in some shape or form. Recently, a brand new Hunter Exotic armor piece, Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk, was disabled for breaking the game as well. The games in the Devil May Cry series frequently include numerous different costumes for its playable characters. Players can typically unlock these by completing various modes or purchasing them as DLC. This is true for Devil May Cry 2, which also features some outfits that are part of a product placement deal from the game’s original incarnation. Since the opening of the Call of Duty: Warzone Stadium by the Shadow Company, it has become a popular landing spot amongst fans. Now, an Easter egg has been made available at this location. The reward for completing the Warzone Stadium Easter egg is the enigma assault rifle blueprint. Unlike previous challenges such as getting into Bunker 11, this Easter egg does not require a huge hunt around Verdansk. To complete this, you are required to gather a code to enter the board room in the Stadium....
