Hideo Kojma’s Death Stranding is one of the most anticipated games of 2019 - so anticipated in fact that some people are already breaking the review embargo to talk about the game and praise it for what it manages to accomplish. Peter Tieryas, author of books like United States of Japan and Mecha Samurai Empire, is already gushing about Death Stranding on social media. According to Tieryas, Hideo Kojima’s game “… is breathtaking, easily one of the most unique and stunning experiences I’ve had in all my years of gaming....

Only the original Dead Island will be included on the PS4 disc of next week’s Definitive Edition, Deep Silver has confirmed, with Dead Island Riptide instead requiring a separate download. A code to download it will be included in the box. The Xbox One version functions slightly differently, however, with both games included on a single disc. “On XB1 it is on the same disc,” Deep Silver said on Twitter, replying to a fan asking whether the two games would come on separate discs....

Kojima Productions announced last year that Death Stranding Director’s Cut would indeed be launching on PC in Q1 2022, and we’ve just gotten a set release date for the game. Publisher 505 Games has announced that it’ll be made available on Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 30. In addition to that, if you already own the base game on PC, you’ll also be able to upgrade to the Director’s Cut version for $9....

Destiny 2’s Solstice of Heroes event is well underway, giving players armor to collect, a new grind to complete, and much, much more. The requirement to kill 100 minibosses in the EAZ is getting reduced, but another big part to the Solstice grind is the collection of elemental orbs, as they are involved in several steps for upgrading the armor. Now, one player has found a quick way to collect these orbs without really having to lift a finger....

After a short delay, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep was released on October 1. It took me several days to finish the official review of the expansion, but that’s primarily because I wanted to experience the Garden of Salvation and Vex Offensive activities first-hand. Following with the trend from last season, Season 17 of Destiny 2 will be seeing a new Solar subclass change dubbed Solar 3.0. This ability/class update is all about making the fire elemental attacks mean so much more. As Design Lead Kevin Yanes puts it: This change gives each of the game’s three classes a new super ability. With the Titan you get Consecration, which is an uppercut followed by a destructive slam attack from two fiery hammers....

There are two subclasses in particular in Destiny 2 that have long been at the top of the PvP meta, and developer Bungie is getting ready to reduce their effectiveness a bit. The first, and most obvious to many players, is the bottom tree Striker Titan. The other is the bottom tree Dawnblade Warlock. Both subclasses have a similar advantage being targeted in Destiny 2’s next game update coming later this month....

Destiny 2 is currently near the ending of the on-going Empyrean Foundation event, where players will need to come up with 9, 777,777,700 Polarized Fractaline. Considering the event began on February 4, it seems safe to say that, as they often do, players may have blown through this event quicker than expected, but this final stage may still take more time. After all, unlike the Corridors of Time, this event has brought many players together, and there is certainly a cooperative air to the event....

The core mechanic of Destiny 2, as well as the original Destiny, that keeps players logging in every day is easily the grinding for Light Levels that the end game content strives for. Eventually, the loot runs dry for every diehard player and the only way to go is up, so clans and fireteams head out to conquer Raids and other high-level missions for better gear. Over the last 5 years, the formula has changed slightly here and there, sometimes to the liking of the players, and other times causing frustration....

Bungie has unveiled Season of the Seraph, Destiny 2’s new in-game season which begins today, 6th December. For long-time Destiny fans, this season looks to reveal more about the series’ mysterious AI “Warmind” Rasputin, whose robotic consciousness once took charge of galactic defense for solar system. Alongside more adventures with the Bray family, today’s new trailer introduces a creepy robot body for Rasputin - a mix of Aperture Science tech and Palpatine from Rise of Skywalker....

The Iron Banner returns this week in Destiny 2 with new rewards and a new seasonal pursuit. It’s that time again! Lord Saladin is coming back to The Tower to start handing out guns like some sort of homicidal Santa Claus. This season will see a few changes to how things get done in the Iron Banner, starting with a brand new seasonal pursuit. Unlike previous renditions of the Iron Banner, where players just needed to play Banner matches to get Banner tokens and then trade them in for loot, this season’s Banner will lock handing in tokens behind a quest called Spectacle....

From easy mode activities such as doing public events and just gathering weapons, to high-end boss fights that will leave you sweating, Destiny 2’s Moments of Triumph have everything for everyone. This is part of the game’s Solstice of Heroes phase. Essentially, it’s the transition between the first year and the upcoming second year of the game with Forsaken. The event runs from today until August 28, with more requirements set to be announced in the coming weeks....

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will launch worldwide on PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 23, 2016, Square Enix has announced. The date means that the action-RPG will arrive the same week as EA’s open-world reboot Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which is due to launch just a couple of days later on February 25. Alongside the standard edition, fans will also be able to pick up a Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition featuring a 9″ figurine of lead character Adam Jensen, limited edition steelbook and a 48-page Titan art book....

Despite many claiming that Digimon constantly looms in the shadow of its oft compared predecessor Pokemon, the Digimon franchise has built up its own respectable following in the 20 or so years that the IP has been around. Even the franchise’s recent video games – like the much anticipated tactical strategy game Digimon Survive – have received considerable attention. Now, in celebration of the original anime’s twentieth anniversary the first Digimon anime series, Digimon Adventure, is getting a new reboot....

Yesterday Call of Duty: Modern Warfare officially launched across the world. While the online multiplayer FPS has had its launch issues, including an ongoing serious problem with Xbox One X hard crashes, the popularity of Modern Warfare’s launch is undeniable. Infinity Ward, wanting to keep Modern Warfare’s momentum increasing, has even released the game’s first content update. Two highly anticipated game modes are now enabled for players in Modern Warfare....

After waves of map leaks and fan speculation, Call of Duty: Warzone has finally arrived. While the latest addition to Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is free to play, it appears that the developers want to incentivize their most devoted players to join the battle. To commemorate the game mode’s debut, Activision will be releasing a special Combat Pack for PlayStation Plus users. Although the two developers promised that COD: Warzone would not require the PlayStation Plus service, they had always promised additional perks for PS Plus subscribers....
