Bungie has announced it’s packaging Destiny 2 and all its expansion together as part of the Destiny 2: Legendary Collection this autumn. Due out alongside the upcoming Forsaken expansion on September 4, the Legendary Collection includes the base version of Bungie’s shoot-’n-loot sequel, plus Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and of course Forsaken. While you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck, it’s worth noting that the collection does not include the Annual Pass, which offers a series of smaller expansions that will follow on from Forsaken....

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep has a brand new exotic quest for you to find. That’s thanks to the completion of the Garden of Salvation raid by Clan Ascend. Oddly enough, the group did not get a guaranteed raid exotic after their clear. But, what’s even more surprising is that the raid completion led to the reveal of the Divine Fragmentation exotic quest. After you find the Vex Cores and hidden confluxes, and some shenanigans in the raid, this will reward you with Destiny 2: Shadowkeep‘s Divinity exotic trace rifle....

For the last few days, Destiny 2 players have been unsure of the full workings of the Empyrean Foundation event but today one important detail was confirmed. Players will want to wait until right before the Tuesday reset to pull all of their accrued Polarized Fractaline. When Empyrean Foundation first launched, players could see that the Tower Obelisk had a storage of Polarized Fractaline based on the resonance of each Obelisk around the Solar System....

Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals has something in store for Guardians. It’s the Moments of Triumph event that coincides with the tail-end of each year. Destiny developer Bungie filed a trademark for something called Matter last Friday, as spotted by a ResetEra user. It was filed under ‘computer game software,’ and ’entertainment services, namely, providing video games and video game competitions via the Internet.’ At this stage, that’s all we know. The description field contains no data whatsoever. Earlier this year, Chinese tech juggernaut NetEase put $100 million into the developer for a minority stake, and a seat at the table....

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been delayed to August 23, 2016, Square Enix has announced. The game had previously been due to release on February 23, 2016. The six month delay will give developer Eidos Montreal more time to fine-tune the game, studio head David Anfossi says, and deliver a title that exceeds expectations. “As you may have already seen by reading and watching the many previews for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, our aim is for it to be a worthy successor to Human Revolution, and to improve upon that game in every way possible,” Anfossi said in an update on the game’s website....

Deus Ex, the critically acclaimed futuristic RPG, could have had an endgame outcome which placed the player on the space station of System Shock. In an interview with TechRadar, programmer Scott Martin reflected on the conception and development of Deus Ex, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. The title appeared to be “impossibly ambitious,” and so, Martin simply had to sign himself up to work on such a feat. “A big chunk of the development team came from the Looking Glass and Origin Systems tradition,” he elaborated....

Digital video game spending hit $10 billion in March 2020—a record breaking high—owing to the lockdowns in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus (via CNA). The data comes from market tracker SuperData, and its report attributes the significant success to “individuals [who] are turning to games as a reliable entertainment option during the COVID-19 crisis and are using online multiplayer to keep in touch with others.” Of the $10 billion accrued last month, $5....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is the 16th installment in the Call of Duty franchise, and a reboot of the popular Modern Warfare sub-series is currently on sale at the PlayStation Store. Ever since the game’s launch last October, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare continues to receive content updates and kicked off its highly-anticipated second season last month. Now, players on the PlayStation 4 who are interested in picking up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and check out all the changes since the launch of season 2, would be happy to know that the game is currently discounted at the PlayStation 4....

The throwing knife has existed in the Call of Duty series since the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and has been used creatively by players ever since, including a player whose knife ricocheted off of a car and into another player. While not as creative, one player managed to execute a Hail Mary of sorts with a throwing knife that stuck its landing a long way off. Reddit user LaKoza was able to capture a fairly impressive moment during gameplay on the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare....

Tickets for Call of Duty League Launch Weekend are currently on presale, and fans will be paying through the nose. Starting at $25 USD just to get into the venue for a single day ($100 is the season pass price for the venue) and with only a standing spot, up to a whopping $150 per day ($550 for the season pass) for the Valhalla VIP Pass, the pricing seems to leave a lot to be desired....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans have been hyped for “Warzone,” the rumored battle royale mode coming to the game at some point during Season 2. Pair the Season 2 opening cinematic with the bevy of leaks about the purported mode, and there’s plenty of reasons to get excited. I mostly skipped out on ’90s PC-only platformers. CARL shares a lot of visual similarities to classic games, using a style and level design approach that was more common on DOS than anywhere else. But the game isn’t overly beholden to the past or lacking in ideas. This is a cute, well-designed platformer with excellent controls and one of the best finales a 2D game can ask for. It doesn’t last all that long but it’s mostly a blast from start to finish, even if a couple of late-game levels majorly got on my nerves....

Netflix’s Castlevania will be back for more blood-sucking antics this summer, its lead writer has announced. The anime-flavoured outing will return for a total of eight episodes, although an exact air date has not been confirmed as of yet. The first season contained only four episodes, so it’s good to see that Netflix apparently has enough faith in Castlevania to double its output for a second season. The debut series was more or less a straight adaptation of Konami’s venerable gaming franchise, specifically Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, focusing on the exploits of Trevor Belmont....

Developer Dead Mage along and Publisher 11 Bit Studios have made good in their ongoing commitment to Children of Morta with the release of the game’s first content update, Shrine of Challenge. The new content is only one of many proposed updates following the strong sales of the game on release and is without a doubt a fantastic addition to an already high-quality game.
