Call of Duty: Modern Warfare development is continuing going into 2020. Infinity Ward is confident and excited about the work its done so far with post-launch Modern Warfare, but it also has plans to improve. In Infinity Ward’s first “Community Update,” the studio details several upcoming features, known in-game issues that are being worked on, and it also delivers a promise. Infinity Ward will continue publishing community updates week-to-week on Fridays going forward in the name of transparency and communication....

The Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer beta went live on PS4 this past weekend, and after about 10 hours of play, we’re feeling cautiously optimistic about Infinity Ward’s reimagined shooter. Gameplay is a lot like the original Modern Warfare titles but with some intriguing new updates, and the game has a decidedly more tactical pace and feel than the top mainstream shooters of today. Movement and traversal is the most notable difference when jumping into the game....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has recently been updated with the new Shoot the Ship playlist that lets fans play on two of the first-person shooter’s most popular maps, Shipment and Shoot House. Unfortunately, some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have decided to take advantage of glitches and exploits on these maps to gain an unfair advantage over others, particularly when it comes to Shipment. Reddit user GloriousRock has posted a video showing a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare player cheating on Shipment by glitching out of bounds....

Call of Duty isn’t exactly known for its squeaky clean online experience and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare isn’t an exception to this. It’s relatively common for players to find themselves on the wrong end of a tirade that would make even the most experienced sailors blush. It’s a pretty satisfying moment, then, when these kinds of trash talkers are not only defeated in-game but have their shame caught on camera....

So far, Call of Duty: Warzone appears to have been received positively by the Call of Duty community. However, the game is not without its critics, with one of the main complaints being the lack of team size options. At launch, Call of Duty: Warzone is limited to three-player squads, but it seems like that could change in a future update. In a recent interview with USA Today, Infinity Ward co-head Patrick Kelly explained that the studio is already “playing with” four-player and five-player squads....

Capcom is currently investigating the possibility of bringing its multiplatform titles on PS4 and Xbox One to Nintendo Switch. “We are currently carrying out research with regards to multiplatform implementation of software for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on to the Nintendo Switch,” commented Capcom as part of its FY2016 Q2 Question and Answer Summary. Capcom added: “However, we do feel that there are differences in the desired direction and the play-style of the Nintendo Switch and those of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One....

This Castle Rock review contains spoilers. Castle Rock Episode 2 Despite the excellent (and gruesome) cliffhanger ending of “Severance,” Castle Rock‘s second episode is a bit of a drag, moving at the slowest of crawls without ever completely coming together. Like the premiere, “Habeas Corpus” tries to fit too much into its limited runtime, which means that many of the scenes are dead on arrival. Moments like the flashback of the mascot committing suicide don’t really seem to mean anything in the grand scheme of the show and so just feel like fat that could have been trimmed....

CODE is working to unionize game development workers to California. Last year was a tumultuous one for game workers. Last spring, various game developers were accused of fostering a toxic work environment where sexual harassment and unequal pay were commonplace. Riot Games suffered a walkout over these issues, while the focus at other companies turned to the practice of “crunch,” whereby employees would often work 100-hour weeks in the months leading up to a game’s release....

An ESRB rating has been spotted for platformer Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on Xbox Series X, despite the game currently only being available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The listing, spotted by Video Games Chronicle, implies that the orange marsuipal’s latest adventure may be coming to next generation consoles following its release on current gen last week. It’s interesting to note, however, that at the time of writing there doesn’t appear to be a listing for the game on PlayStation 5, though bar any sort of format exclusivity announcement we’d be surprised if it doesn’t head there too....

CD Projekt just announced that their long-anticipated RPG Cyberpunk 2077, the team’s first major release since the universally-acclaimed The Witcher 3, has been delayed by five months. That means we’ll have to wait until September to get out hands on one of the year’s most hyped titles. It also gives us some time to ruminate on some other games to have been delayed over the years. Usually, delays indicate that a game will release with a higher level of polish—or Polish, in CDPR’s case—but that isn’t always true....

Fans who look forward to Cyberpunk 2077 can breathe a sigh of relief for now. Despite the many cancellations and delays the global pandemic is causing, CD Projekt Group president Adam Kiciński put our minds at ease by stating that Cyberpunk 2077 is still planned for a September release and that the team is motivated as they work from home. Cyberpunk 2077 remains on course for a September release Kiciński explained that the developers have been working remotely for over three weeks, and the results they’ve had so far suggest there will be no major disruptions moving forward....

Citizens of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City will soon carry umbrellas “in various colours and shapes”, developer CD Projekt Red has revealed. Well, it is autumn, after all. The change is one of dozens detailed in Cyberpunk 2077’s patch notes for Update 1.61, which is now rolling out to PC, consoles and even Stadia. This update is mostly centred around fixing bugs in the game - such as issues with Xbox saves not transferring properly to PC and PlayStation, plus an issue on PC where the game’s frame rate would drop after exiting a menu....

In the Night City Wire presentation, CD Projekt Red released a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, and there’s a lot happening in these two minutes. Mixing cinematics and gameplay, the trailer takes place in the prologue of the game, with only the “first few quests” depicted here. Our protagonist, V, is tracking down a “chip of immortality,” and though that sounds extremely tasty, they’re talking about the tech, not the fried potato....
