We now have word on when the next event will be coming to Apex Legends. The new event, dubbed Dark Depths, will be starting this Tuesday, January 11. The main new addition coming with the Dark Depths Event is a new Arenas map called Habitat. The Apex Legends site has this to say about it: We also have a look at the prize track for the Dark Depths Event. Rather than only a single prize tracker, instead every week of the event will see a new track....

Releasing just under a decade ago, the original Darksiders title was a supremely enjoyable hack and slash adventure that borrowed elements from legendary franchises like Devil May Cry and The Legend of Zelda, while weaving a new and entertaining—if not slightly convoluted—narrative about a war between the forces of Heaven and Hell. Ten years and three games later, Darksiders Genesis retains much of what made the eponymous game great while introducing a series-first co-op focus and locking the camera to an isometric perspective....

SEGA arcade racing classic Daytona USA is now playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility, Xbox has announced. The game released for Xbox 360 back in October 2011, and is available now for £6.75. “Based on the classic arcade title, Daytona USA features enhanced graphics, tracks for all skill levels, and the original, hit soundtrack!” explains the blurb. “Save your quarters – we’re bringing the arcade straight to your living room with steering wheel and multiplayer support....

Developer Behaviour Interactive has announced that the Hellraiser series is the latest franchise to join multiplayer PvP title Dead by Daylight. A tweet from the game’s official account confirmed the news following a week’s worth of teases. The killer known as The Cenobite leads the DLC, based around the series’ iconic villain Pinhead. If you’re familiar with the character, it’ll come as little surprise that his attacks will be based around his chains....

It’s been interesting to watch Dead Or Alive evolve these last few years. When the series debuted in 1996, it became infamous as a raunchy fighting game. Sure, it had a Bruce Lee knockoff, Dennis Rodman as a kickboxer and the guy from Ninja Gaiden, but the selling point was the scantily-clad women. The sex appeal was to Dead Or Alive what the blood and gore are to Mortal Kombat and that led to a trilogy of spinoff games based on the women of the cast playing volleyball in bikinis....

At E3 2021, Devolver Digital showed off a range of new games such as Wizard with a Gun and Trek to Yomi. Following this, Death’s Door, a game coming from developer Acid Nerve was shown off with a gameplay trailer. The action-adventure RPG sends you on a unique adventure, where you play as a sword-wielding bird. When you immerse yourself in the world of Death’s Door, you will find that your assigned soul has been stolen and you must track down the thief....

In an interview with Game Informer, Hideo Kojima explained how the central theme of connection affects the story, features, and mechanics of Death Stranding. Tokyo Game Show has offered two extended looks at Death Stranding, accompanied by commentary by Kojima, but the game is very much still a mystery. As revealed in this interview, Kojima believes its most important message is that players are not alone in the desolate world of Death Stranding....

Capcom is still working on PS4 free-to-play title Deep Down, but new ideas for the title mean development is going to take a bit more time, the publisher’s corporate officer Yoshinori Ono has told Japanese publication 4Gamer. “It looks like deep down will take just a little longer,” said Ono, as translated by Siliconera. “It also looks like some people are starting to ask ‘did the development come to a halt?...

A ban from the platform responsible for your popularity may be a difficult hill to bounce back from, but for popular streamer Dellor, it appears he’s already found a new place to stream. Following the former Twitch user’s permanent ban from the platform, Dellor took to YouTube for a secret stream and amassed over 20,000 views. Matthew Vaughan, otherwise known as “Dellor” is a video gamer known for his Overwatch, Apex Legends, PUBG, and Fortnite streams....

Bungie has announced it’s giving Destiny 2 a spring makeover in the shape of The Revelry, bringing with it a revamped Haunted Forest location and a new exotic weapon. The Verdant Forest is the main attraction here, and is a rejigged version of the Haunted Forest from last year’s Festival of the Lost. You’ll be sent there by vendor Eva Levante. The location itself has been given a colourful makeover, although you’ll still be clearing rooms and vanquishing bosses all the same....

A lot of things are changing in Destiny 2 with the upcoming release of the Shadowkeep expansion. A couple of those changes share an overall change of direction for some of the items of the game, taking them from consumables to unlockables. And, with this change, the game should definitely take that same idea into at least two other item categories in Destiny 2: shaders and transmat effects. The “consumable to unlockable” change is appearing in two key areas in players’ gear in Shadowkeep: Armor 2....

Yesterday, Bungie revealed a number of new details about Destiny 2’s Season of Dawn, which will be available to players next Tuesday, December 10. These details included information on the Season of Dawn Pass rewards, on a new seasonal PvE mode called The Sundial, and more, and the developer is back with even more for fans to digest, releasing a Destiny 2 Season 9 roadmap that outlines specifically how the Season of Dawn will unfold....

While Diablo IV has been announced for a bit now, we’re finally getting a proper look at some gameplay. Blizzard showed off a cinematic trailer during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase today, which you can check out down below: The trailer itself definitely evokes an eerie vibe that’s a far cry from Diablo III, which had been criticized for looking a little too bright and happy clappy. Blizzard also revealed that the Necromancer class would be playable at launch, which is definitely exciting news for series fans who love summoning the undead....

Sledgehammer Games has detailed the next major update for Call of Duty: WWII, with the Divisions overhaul bringing about a heap of key changes for the first-person shooter behemoth. All of the tweaks apply to the multiplayer component, so if you’re more a campaign-heavy bloke like myself (and in that case, hello to the both of you) this probably won’t make much difference. Nonetheless, online Call of Duty aficionados will no doubt be pleased to see that major Divisions have been given plenty of fine-tuning, while weapons have also been rebalanced and improved....

Gaming is undoubtedly in the age of Fortnite, with the game’s massive worldwide success forcing other parts of the industry to react or be left behind. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 exemplified this by ditching any semblance of a single-player campaign in favor of adding its own battle royale mode, Blackout. Despite several unique CoD touches, Blackout’s development very clearly shows a desire to capitalize on the Fortnite audience. It already adopted the battle pass....

God of War Ragnarok is releasing around the world over the next 24 hours or so, with most regions eager to finally get their hands on the game.
