Something more horrible then all the armies of Hell has recently appeared in Diablo II: Resurrected. Not long after its release, the mystery gang (or Blizzard) was on the case of the disappearing character in Diablo II — but the problem has been “identified,” and a fix will go out today. Players were reporting that their characters would disappear or lose progress. In a message posted to the Diablo II: Resurrected forum, Blizzard goes into what it discovered....

Rallycross is being introduced to DiRT Rally today, Codemasters has announced, with the arrival of the first World RX update. The update introduces three new rallycross cars, two official circuits – the UK’s Lydden Hill and Sweden’s Holjes – and a brand new World RX Career mode. Simultaneous online multiplayer has not been introduced in today’s update, however, with that due to arrive in a second World RX update coming at a later date....

The people of Australia will soon finally get to experience Disco Elysium: The Final Cut. The Australian Classification Board just announced its decision to lift the ban on ZA/UM’s role-playing game. As fans may recall, the board had temporarily refused to classify Disco Elysium because of some drug-related content. At this time, there’s no word on when the game will go on sale in Australia, but only adults will legally be able to purchase it....

Disco Elysium creator ZA/UM is looking for artists with “a love of sci-fi and video games” and the ability to create “non-earth environments”. As spotted by the eagle-eyed members of the Disco Elysium subreddit, job listings for three new artistic positions at the studio are perhaps hinting what themes and motifs may be apparent in the studio’s next game. Interestingly, fans of the RPG don’t necessarily think this marks a big departure for the team, though, especially given “how much time [the creators] have put into cultivating the setting of Disco Elysium”....

One weapon in particular has been singled out by the community to be particularly overpowered, and that’s the 725 shotgun. Exoprimal transports you two decades in the future where dinosaur invasions are a common occurrence. Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has warned that current and former employee details may be caught up in the data stolen in a ransomware attack the studio suffered back in February. In a statement released yesterday, the studio followed up with new information from found during its investigation into the breach. It said “We have learned new information regarding the breach, and now have reason to believe that internal data illegally obtained during the attack is currently being circulated on the Internet....

The Cyberpunk 2077 world has popped up on the cover of the official art book, giving us our first look at what Night City might look like (via VG247). It definitely seems like a crammed concrete jungle with roads and alleyways interconnecting all over the luminous yellow cover. To me, the left side of the map looks a little darker than the remainder, which could signify water, and we know that there will be underwater exploration in Cyberpunk 2077....

Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a gang called the Tyger Claws, new images have suggested. The Tyger Claws is one of several criminal groups that players will see in Night City as CD Projekt RED has also confirmed gangs like the Voodoo Boys. A new video from Cyberpunk 2077 YouTuber Madqueen Show reveals that CD Projekt RED may have confirmed that the Tyger Claws gang will be in the game before an official announcement....

Naughty Dog and Dark Horse Direct are teaming up once again to bring Last of Us Part II fans some amazing new statues. This collaboration will focus on two key figures in the game, Joel and Abby. Each of these statues will be released on July 27, 2022, and are available for the price point of $59.99. While these statues are indeed new individual purchases, it should also be noted the Abby figure was a part of a bundle last year and the Joel figure has a larger version available that comes out around the same time....

Developer FromSoftware has this week announced plans to close Dark Souls PC servers until after the launch of its upcoming title Elden Ring. The decision comes after the game’s PC community relayed concerns that remote code execution exploits present in Dark Souls might also be used in Elden Ring. I’m not sure what I expected Kazutaka Kodaka to do after finishing up the widely loved Danganronpa games. One thing for sure is that I wasn’t expecting him to write and direct an interactive movie. When I learned that he’d done just that, I wasn’t sure he could pull it off. Regardless, he did. Death Come True isn’t a game, but it’s an entertaining, emotional movie that is very much worth experiencing, even if the interface could use some work and the special effects are a bit too cheap-looking for their own good....
