Kojima Productions communicated that the PC port of Death Stranding has been pushed back from its original launch date, owing to the impact of remote working and the temporary closure of the studio. In March, an employee tested positive for the coronavirus, and thankfully, they had been isolating themselves so that their close contacts were not at risk of infection. At Tokyo Game Show, Death Stranding received another lot of extended gameplay footage, and this time, it’s all about the safe house that Sam retires to in between missions (thank you, Gamespot). In the safe house, players don’t control Sam directly. They will instead control a camera and Sam will react to the camera’s movements, and potential actions will arise as the perspective swings around the room. UPDATE 19/8/22: As previously promised, a video detailing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s cut campaign has now surfaced online, following a treasure trove of details appearing in text form via reddit last week. The YouTube video goes into further depth on the story this mode would have told, including some of its characters. There’s also a look at work-in-progress screenshots and artwork from the campaign. It’ll be interesting to see how long this video remains online....

CD Projekt is “totally, fully committed” to developing the Cyberpunk IP further, despite Phantom Liberty confirmed as the game’s only expansion. Michał Nowakowski, CD Projekt’s vice president of business development, confirmed the news during a recent earnings call (thanks IGN). “We decided to develop one major expansion for Cyberpunk, which is going to take advantage of all the capabilities of the new-gen consoles,” said Nowakowski. “Having said that, we’re totally, fully committed to developing the Cyberpunk IP further, beyond this particular Cyberpunk expansion....

Capcom has put up a comparison video showing, side by side, how Dragon’s Dogma looked on PS3 compared to the upcoming PS4 version. Valve head honcho Gabe Newell has confirmed that the Portal Easter Egg featured in Counter-Strike’s Danger Zone mode is just that: an Easter Egg, nothing more. There’s no game reveal planned, so don’t get your hopes up. The Easter Egg in question is tucked away behind a locked door in room 3 of a motel, and features Portal-related code. Players wondered if this was a subtle way of confirming a new entry in the puzzled-based series is on the way, but apparently not....

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creator behind the Dark Souls franchise and director on the upcoming Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, has said he’s interested in making a battle royale game at some point. ‘These games are definitely fun,’ Miyazaki-san told the Telegraph. ‘And we’re interested in the patterns they are taking.
