[Update – August 18 @ 12:30 PM ET]: The next patch for Cyberpunk 2077, complete with its first free DLC, is now live. Patch 1.3 comes in at 34 GB, which is nearly the same as the prior patch. The original story, published on August 17, is as follows. Following a livestream earlier today, CD Project Red has provided a list of changes coming with patch 1.3. The patch, when released, will at last include the first wave of free DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, however it’ll mostly be cosmetic....

Dark Souls 3’s final DLC, The Ringed City, will launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 28, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco has announced. While the Darkstalkers series hasn’t been getting much support from Capcom besides re-releases, figure manufacturers haven’t forgotten about the nostalgic fighting series. Kotobukiya has made a new figure belonging to its popular Bishoujo line portraying Lilith. You can find it on Amiami for 12,900 yen, which translates approximately into $99. The release window is not excruciatingly far, coming in November 2022. The prototype is sculpted by Tsubame, inspired by an illustration by Shunya Yamashita as you’d expect from the Bishoujo line....

Fans of PvP in Destiny 2 will be happy to hear some of the significant changes coming to the game in this fall’s Shadowkeep expansion. A new build of the game was available to play at PAX West in Seattle this past weekend and, besides leaking some new gear coming in Shadowkeep, the build also included a number of PvP changes coming to the game. Many of the changes spotted include those that address many of the complaints that fans have had about Destiny 2’s PvP for some time now....

A perceptive player has noticed something from Destiny 2’s Season of Dawn that the series hasn’t done since very early on in the lifetime of the first Destiny. According to the player, Season of Dawn is the first Destiny 2 season or expansion to have no recycled exotic since House of Wolves released for Destiny in 2015. This means that every exotic revealed during Season of Dawn so far has been a completely original weapon or armor piece, with none returning from previous installments....

Diablo 3’s 2.4.3 patch rolled out last week, bringing some pretty cool 20th Anniversary content, plus support for PS4 Pro. Patch notes simply stated, “support has been added for 4k output for the PS4 Pro”, leading to much internet chatter about exactly what the update did. The enduring success of battle royale games lends developers and publishers a way to make serious bank off of a game for years on end. Nearly two years ago, Activision Blizzard got in on this with the release of Call of Duty: Warzone. The game has done well for the company and, being free to play and having the brand name behind it, it’ll almost certainly continue to do well. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow developer MercurySteam will be making a “major announcement” in April, the studio has teased. A countdown on the developer’s website points towards an announcement at 5pm BST on Friday, April 15, although it isn’t yet clear what the game may be. Developer Torn Banner Studios is starting out the new year with their multiplayer hack and slash action game, as they introduce the Chivalry 2: House Aberfell update today on PC (via Epic Games Store), the PS4 and PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. This brand new update is set to add new map objectives, characters, and even a gameplay mechanic that revolves around bees.
