Game development is hard. Game development is even harder when it’s done by a single person. Cyber Shadow, a new action-platformer published by Yacht Club Games, is already getting speedrun attention and we even gave it a 9.5 in our review. To commemorate the game’s release, we were granted the opportunity to ask the game’s developer, Aarne Hunziker, some questions. Mr. Hunziker has had a lot of experience with gaming over the years, as he expended a considerable amount of effort on ROM hacks prior to pursuing development on his own....

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED revealed during a behind-closed-doors live demo at E3 that the game will take place from a first-person perspective. While gameplay itself will take place in first-person view, cutscenes will play out in the third-person. In a nutshell, it’s a ‘first-person RPG,’ they said (via IGN). Players will hop into the role of someone called V, who can be male or female. You’ll also pick from a variety of stats plucked straight from the tabletop RPG, including Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, Reflexes, Tech, and Cool....

Behaviour Interactive has just revealed the Moments of Growth Collection for Dead by Daylight, which introduces new outfits for The Demogorgon, Nancy, and Steve from the hit Netflix show Stranger Things. The new outfits can be equipped to the three major characters in the Stranger Things chapter of Dead By Daylight. You can purchase them up from the in-game store now. Nancy Wheeler gets the Days of Rose outfit. It includes the Elegant Simplicity head – a sweet pulled back hairstyle that will take you back to the early days of Stranger things....

Bungie has released a new Destiny 2: Forsaken trailer revealing how Cayde-6 meets his maker during the outbreak at the Prison of Elders. It’s already been confirmed numerous times that the popular Hunter Vanguard will be killed off in Destiny 2’s impending expansion, although up until now we only knew one thing: he takes a hand cannon to the face. The new trailer, however, confirms that Cayde-6 (voiced by Nolan North this time around, who replaces Nathan Fillion) puts up a bloody good fight before kicking the bucket....

Trials of Osiris returns for the first time in Destiny 2 on March 13th, bringing back the pinnacle endgame PvP experience that Trials of the Nine never really lived up to. Considering that this will be the first time the actual Trials of Osiris playlist has come to the sequel since its appearance in Destiny 1, and the infusion of many new players thanks to the game on Steam and the addition of the free-to-play New Light version of the game, now is the perfect time to go over some fundamentals of Trials of Osiris that can help players be successful....

Destiny 2 players have spent the past couple of weeks completing the Empyrean Foundation event where they’ve either invested or donated Polarized Fractaline, grinded for new gear through Timelost bounties, and worked together in a method entirely different from the Corridors of Time. In fact, it’s fair to say that the Empyrean Foundation, which many believe will lead to the addition of Trials of Osiris, is the defining factor of the Season of Dawn....

As players finalized the Empyrean Foundation event in Destiny 2, Guardians lit the beacon to begin the Trials of Osiris. After finishing the in-game cutscene, players were pointed to the reveal trailer where Trials was officially unveiled to fans for the next season. The trailer was relatively brief, but finally confirmed and gave a quick rundown on what to expect from the return of Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2. Other than what was announced, there were some additional tidbits within the trailer that weren’t specifically highlighted as well as a few details Bungie announced outside the trailer as well....

Bungie has flicked the switch on yet another Destiny 2 weekly reset, which means Guardians have a batch of new Milestones to tackle until next Tuesday. However, this week is a little more significant in that it signals the end of The Dawning, Destiny 2’s winter-themed event. Still, there’s plenty to get cracking on with, including a reshuffle of the Nightfall Strike, a new Flashpoint, and a refresh of the Eververse Trading stock....

Until quite recently, Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream had only released games exclusive to PlayStation. Founder Co-CEO David Cage has now said in an interview that moving to PC was something Quantic Dream had been “thinking about where we wanted to go with the company for quite some time” and outlined plans for the company’s future as a “boutique publisher.” Despite not being a first party studio, Quantic Dream’s tight knit relationship with Sony has largely been symbiotic, but earlier this year Quantic Dream released versions of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls on the Epic Game store, with Detroit: Become Human coming soon....

The launch of Diablo Immortal into open beta has not gone smoothly for Blizzard. While users say the game certainly feels like a more streamlined Diablo on mobile and PC, there is a key variable between it and its predecessors: microtransactions. Developed by Chinese mobile game developer NetEase, Diablo Immortal is free to play with MTX in mind. Ahead of launch, there was concern that Diablo Immortal would stray deeply into the murky waters of “pay to win,” or P2W....

The creative director behind Spider-Man PS4 is enjoying all the credit he’s getting for the success of the game, but believes Sony isn’t getting enough praise. It has now been a week since Spider-Man was released exclusively on PlayStation 4 and the praise for the game continues to pour in. The story and depth is amazing, the graphics and attention to detail are incredible, we’re yet to find anything we don’t like about the game or even hear any complaints from anyone....

Private lobbies are a feature lacking across multiple battle royale platforms. Now, fans are reporting that they are being placed in Call of Duty: Warzone private lobbies by mistake. This feature will allow for many more player possibilities in Verdansk. Players will be able to explore new areas of the map without having to be aware of any enemies. Therefore, it could prove useful for completing easter eggs and accessing bunkers....

Netflix’s Castlevania took a major gamble in its second season by killing off its main villain. But as the third season of the video game-based animated series proves, the death of Dracula is only the beginning of the vampire story expertly crafted by writer Warren Ellis, director Sam Deats, and showrunner Kevin Kolde. In fact, now unshackled from the Lord of Darkness and his monster-filled castle, Castlevania season 3 is able to explore quite a few new and interesting directions that flesh out this world like never before....

Today The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt announced that its Joint CEO Marcin Iwiński is stepping down from his executive role. The change will become operative by the end of the year, as Iwiński will submit his candidacy as chairman of the supervisory board of the company. Iwiński founded CD Projekt in 1994 alongside Michał Kiciński, when Poland was just entering its post-Soviet years. According to the announcement, he feels optimistic about the future of the developer and believes in the plans to new heights....

Celeste creators Maddy Thorson, Noel Berry and Lena Raine have made and released a sequel to the original 8-bit game that spawned the hit platformer. Revealing Celeste Classic 2: Lani’s Trek on Twitter, the trio also divulged that they made the game in just three days to celebrate Celeste’s third anniversary. The sequel casts you as new hiker Lani, and rather than air-dashing, you’ll be using a grappling hook to traverse the levels....

Codemasters has announced DiRT Rally, the next game in its popular rally racing series available to download now on PC via Steam Early Access. Available for £24.99, DiRT Rally switches the franchise’s focus on arcade racing for a new simulation-based physics model, offering hyper-realistic handling and a hardcore level of difficulty previously unseen in a DiRT title. The game is not available on any other platform. “Our team has been working tirelessly to get the simulation just right,” chief game designer Paul Coleman told VideoGamer....
